On Tuesday (16 March) Sussex Police seized 10 Lurcher and Spaniel type dogs from a location in Surrey.

They are asking anyone who has lost either a lurcher or spaniel to contact them by sending an email: dogtheft@sussex.pnn.police.uk with your contact details.
They have a dedicating team managing this and believe they may be stolen

Update on her FB page:
Dearest Ruby followers, today is another difficult day that I hoped I wouldn’t see. It’s 2 years since Ruby left us. It seems incredible, firstly to think this has happened to us, it’s the sort of thing you read about on Facebook! Secondly she hasn’t been found and we still don’t know what happened to her. Today I find myself reliving every moment of this day two years ago and wishing I hadn’t done this or that and she would still be here ruling the house! I think about her every day, remembering how she would snuggle so close under the duvet until we were both so hot but still wouldn’t move! She still appears in my dreams running with her tail high full of life and fun. I will never stop looking for her and I know you won’t either and that gives me great comfort. In these difficult times I ask you take care of yourself and loved ones both four and two legged. Please dedicate your walk or whatever you do today to Ruby’s memory. Post a photo of yourselves doing something today, it’s always lovely to see you all! And make a small donation if you can afford to, to our amazing NHS. If you can’t, just do something kind for others. I believe if we spread love and kindness it will come back to us tenfold and maybe one day my little girl will find her way back to me. Love to you all and stay safe. Xxx

Report of a dog matching Ruby's description yesterday morning near the golf course/ Victorian greenhouse at the Wedding Venue section of LUTON HOO. Hello @lindsay750 please can you clarify a postcode area for Bowsey Woods - perhaps admin could send some alerts out to volunteers in that area. I think it may be Reading RH9/10 area or could be the one in CW3 near Crewe but wanted to be sure as the Bowsey Hill in Reading area would be closer to home. Thank you for posting 🐾

There is a dog similar to this dog running loose in Bowsey woods. It has just attacked a deer (looked hungry). We tried to catch it but it ran off. Sorry if it’s not yours but just thought I’d let you know.

Possible sighting of a dog like Ruby last night. No more info on girl or boy. Sudbury rd, Lavenham, Suffolk. All info on twitter.and Ruby’s Facebook page. I’ve contacted the lady who saw dog in her garden with Ruby’s pics, she’s just replied that it looked very like the dog ..even looked like same collar. Have been in touch with Ruby’s family and Doglost coordinator .

A dog fitting Ruby's description was spotted yesterday at 12 noon running along the perimeter fence of Pinewood studios on Seven Hills Road. Owner was notified and went to search but had no luck spotting her.

sighting of a brown whippet this morning in Widmer End towards Four Ashes around 8.45am this morning. It was light brown and had an orange harness on. there have been a few sightings of this dog. This is not far from Great Kingshill - where we had a sighting last week. Please keep a lookout if you are in the area.

Sadly this turned out not to be Ruby but another local dog who had jumped a garden fence after a cat and is now safely back at home. Have confirmed with photos and the owner. The hunt continues for Ruby, focusing back on the Hopper's Farm / Cockpit Lane area, but she could realistically be anywhere.

The search for Ruby has taken a major step forward this morning. At 1am this morning Lauren Deane and her partner Paris contacted me having seen a dog matching Ruby's description - seen searching for food in ...........Aylesbury! She was seen on a green outside the Southcourt Baptist Church which is Penn Rd, Aylesbury HP21 8HW. They got very close to her (enough to take the photos) but she moved away each time. She was calm but nervous and obviously very hungry. We are now concentrating the search to that area. We have just returned home but will return there later today. Please share with the Aylesbury community. We are getting closer ... hopefully x — with Sam Brooks and 3 others at Southcourt Baptist Church.

We are now presuming that Ruby has been stolen - 'theft by finding' - although the police will not give a CRN, she hasn't been seen since she went missing. So if anyone has seen her with 'new' owners or hears a dog barking in someone's house or garden, that didn't have a dog before, please let us know.

Update from FB page - Have spent 4 hours this afternoon with my collies, Rae and whippet Louie walking from Whielden Street, through all the fields following the A404 to Winchmore Hill.
We have searched all round the fields and woods on both sides of Whielden Lane, around Whielden Gate Farm and the old picnic area.
Neil then joined us along with Jeremy from Drone SAR who was kind enough to fly his drone on a search over the area. Neil is now with Jonathan and his search dogs to see if any scent can be picked up.
We are all working incredibly hard to try and get Ruby back home, so please keep sharing and keep looking.
She must be out there somewhere.

Just had a call from a guy in winchmore Hill who saw a brown dog matching Ruby’s description at an old picnic area this morning. His dog was running with it and he thought it was a dear. But it barked and ran away. Could be our first sighting!!! On our way

Has anyone looked in the woody areas around Hill Farm Lane. I heard a dog barking last night near my house (I know that could be anyone’s dog) but my daughter said she was walking our dogs yesterday and there was a dog barking in the woodland area in the quarry. I might be able to look about there today but if you are going to hodgemoor woods walk back down next to kiln cottage and have a look.

Possible sighting at 1230am sat night/Sunday morning of a whippet running at speed down the A413 towards Chalfont St Giles. Sighted between Old Farm lane and Willow Lane.

Just spent 90 minutes walking the fields with owners sons, but now too dark to continue. Hoping she hasn't ventured down onto the A413. Hoping she will find her own way home as went missing on a regular walk, so area known to her with easy access through the fields back home. Advised to place her bed outside.
