Sorry for mis-reading this one. Owners should be taken to task re updating bearing in mind the 7 day ruling!!! They do not know how lucky they are.....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As pointed out, Battersea DO scan and had actually contacted the old owners that are on the microchip. So job was done properly....Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Welcome home Sabre. As has been mentioned, microchip was out of date and owner and system obviously didn't react quick enough with the administration. As we all know, updating details for our pets is a crucial as telling friends and family you've moved! All's well and all that anyhow. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks unicandy (have sent you a PM)! When I spoke to the owner earlier he said he'd had a call from Battersea re. a Bull mastiff but said it was not Sabre as he was wearing a harness. Told him to double check as someone else may have found him, put the harness on or a Battersea driver may have etc as thought it was too much of a coincidence for one having been picked up in the area the same time one went missing.....glad this was the case!! Owner is going to collect Sabre tomorrow morning. Glad you are safe Sabre, will get you switched to blue. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Sabre went missing from Rugby Road, Dagenham, wearing a thick black collar but no tag. His microchip details are to an address in Barking - Thornhill and owner is in the process of trying to getting the details updated. Owner has contacted all local police stations, Battersea and local council. Gave him the number for local kennels taking in strays and advised contacting vets etc. He has put some notices and posters up locally and will continue to do so. Photo will be sent over later today/tonight and have also asked the owner to register and update us further. Sabre is a very friendly boy and would happily be caught. Stay safe Sabre. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
