- Boris was included in his master's funeral yesterday which helped his mum I'm sure. They are reunited now - may they both rest in peace. Thanks so much for everyone's help and thoughts x

- So sad to get the message this morning... Run free at Rainbow Bridge lovely Boris, my thoughts are with Sheila and Maur and of course our fantastic East Sussex team who worked so hard to get Boris home, this was obviously not the outcome we were hoping for or that anyone deserved.
An old dog will often go off on their own when it is time... Bless you Boris x - 2018-05-18 09:49 jannagee

- I’m really devastated to say, that Boris’s body was found this morning in the woods behind where he lived, by one of the amazing people that have been helping on a daily basis. We had all searched the area numerous times over the past few days but we believe he passed away soon after he went missing. This is the saddest outcome & my thoughts are very much with Sheila as she also has her husbands funeral today:-( We have buried Boris in the woods that he loved, close to where he used to sit with his owner. Thanks to every single person who helped in the search...you have been amazing x

- Thank you Jane.
Sadly, no news, no sightings even though there are so many of us searching for Boris. We are all feeling a bit disheartened:-( We so wanted to get Boris home to his Mum for tomorrow:-( I believe Sheila has got some posters up today. I haven't been able to go this afternoon unfortunately but hope to go in the morning, even if it's for an hour or so. I think we have at least one person who is going to fly his drone for us first thing in the morning. I'd just like to say a huge thank you to the dedicated people who have been searching tirelessly since Boris went missing, some of which, don't know Boris or his owner. It makes me very proud to be part of a brilliant community. X - 2018-05-17 19:11 Jane
- We will walk the fields beyond Swife Lane tomorrow morning if no news tonight xx

- I will be going that way again today and will have a good drive around the area. Such a sad situation to lose a dog, but in these circumstances, it really is awful. I hope there will be news very soon.

- I went back to the area at 6am this morning. Drove Swife Lane and then walked the bridleway through Doozes Farm which takes you behind where Boris lives. Saw nothing except deer! Sheila is sorting some laminated posters out today and she has some friends that are coming to help her search again. We just need a sighting now. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone that has helped so far.Last edited: 2018-05-17 10:07:37 by Zoe - Area Volunteer - East Sussex

- Thank you Springermad x
I have had a good search this evening but saw absolutely nothing. Numerous people have been out searching today, not one sighting. Places where he was walked with his owner have been searched and searched again at various times during the day. Boris is grieving his owner. He has never gone missing before so is very out of character. He is desperately missed especially at such a sad time for Sheila. What I will say, is that her neighbours and friends have been amazing and so supportive, as well as poeple off our local Facebook pages, who have also been out searching today as well. I really hope that he makes his way home overnight :-( x

- I have just spoken to Boris's owner. She, along with some friends, have been out all morning. It is quite a remote area, but she has notified all neighbours and local farmers so they are all aware that Boris is missing. Vets and dog warden also notified. I plan to head out after work with my own dog but they have certainly covered a lot of the area close by and also checked the river.
