It's 2 years today since Charlie escaped from her travelling cage in Grainthorpe. We miss her every day and still live in hope that she will be found. There is a substantial reward offered for her safe return.

Have you thought of posting a LOST PARROT ad in a National newspaper And look up other sites too,? such as Missing Pet Register; there is many lost, and found birds on ther Claws xd.

Have you tried playing a recording of a similar parrot? It may help the bird to return, Contact John Hayward (Parrot rescue) who lists Lost, Found, and Stolen parrots. His no.is 01869 325 699 His mobile is 07802404929 He should be able to give you more advice. Claws xd.

Just received a message to say a parrot with a red tail has been sighted today near Watts Tea room in Grainthorpe. This is so close to where Charlie went missing. Too late to go over now as it’s dark but will be going over tomorrow.

Sadly no sightings today but lots of dog walkers have said they have seen an African Grey in the woods recently.

Already have recordings of Charlie and our other parrot. We play them over our phones whenever we go to a sighting. Mark is meeting up with the owner of another lost African Grey this afternoon.

Have had 2 possible sightings this week One on the old railway line between Utterby and Fotherby and one in Wheelsby Woods Grimsby.

The parrot we caught stayed with us for a few days until we could be sure we were handing it over to the correct owner. She was called Doris and when the owner came to collect her there was no doubt in our minds that she belonged to them.
The search goes on for Charlie.

Mark has caught the parrot. It looks just like Charlie but sadly it is not her. We think we have located the owner but will not hand it over until we have proof as several people have called thinking it belongs to them.

Today we got a message to say an African Grey had been sighted on a farm in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Mark and I went straight over and there it was sitting in a huge tree. We sat under that tree all afternoon until the light faded but despite all our efforts we didn’t manage to coax it down. We played recordings of Charlie and Treacle and the parrot reacted but was too frightened to leave the safety of the tree. It looked like Charlie and had a ring on the correct leg but until we catch it can’t be sure it was her. Going back again tomorrow. Apparently it was sighted in Scamblesby last week.

It's been 5 long months now since Charlie flew off and still no sightings. I honestly don't believe she would still be flying free but as it has been a long hot summer I suppose she could have survived in the wild. Now autumn is upon us could you all please keep a look out for her as she would be easier to spot now the trees are dropping their leaves. Thank you.

Charlie is still missing. We will never give up searching for her. Please contact us in the strictest confidence if you know anyone who has recently acquired a parrot. They may have bought her in all innocence and if so we are willing to buy them a young parrot . They may have fallen in love with her and not want to give her up but please ask them to think how we feel after owning her for almost 15 years.

Yesterday we were given permission to search all the barns and out buidings at the local fruit farm but no sign of her. Updated some posters and checked out some other out buildings on local properties including a disused windmill. Posted more flyers at remote properties. Weather was awful, torrential rain, so drove the 50 mile back home as there is no way she would be spotted flying in such bad conditions.

I want to say a big THANK YOU to Nik for contacting all the local media on our behalf. Today Mark did a live interview at 4.45pm on BBC radio Lincolnshire drive time. Let’s hope we get some sightings called in.
Mark and I have been walking the countryside all day again today. A lovely farmer gave us permission to search on his land which stretches for a few miles close to where Charlie went missing.

Today we drove over to Covenham first thing to check out the area where the strange squawk was heard but no sign of Charlie. Decided to widen our search to Tetney, North Thoresby and Utterby where we handed out sime flyers and put up posters. We then went back to Fulstow, Covenham and Grainthorpe. Posted a few flyers in remote houses.
Also drove to the large Pets For Homes in Grimsby but they wouldn’t let us display a missing poster. We were told management will not allow it anymore. So much for being a caring pet store. They have lost my custom now.

Just had a call reporting an unusual sounding bird squalk in Covenham by the church.
This location is about 3 miles as the crow flies from where Charlie went missing.

This is my parrot. I and several others have been out searching all afternoon but no luck so far. We put our other parrot out in the garden and thought we heard Charlie but couldn't see her.

• If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
• Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
