- Mirza has been cremated and we have her ashes in a Dog shaped wooden sculpture in our drawing room. She will never be forgotton and will always live in our hearts. The autopsy has been preformed, X rays taken, further tests are being carried out but we still do not have a definite cause of death. The Police and Highways Agency are still to respond with the log report etc. I have been waiting patiently for nearly a month now and soon I shall be complaining to the higher authorities about the way this whole issue has been treated. I'm afraid the legal system in the UK does not treat the death of an animal with any seriousness, how can we claim to be in a country of Dog lovers when the reality is that a pet is worth just their market value if and when an owner can prove their pet was killed in a court of law. Mirza was closer to me than my own children and the response I have got from various staff members of numerous Govt. bodies is highly insensitive, rude and disgusting to say the least. - I stood by your bed last night I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, and I?m here. I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, you were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today your arms were getting sore I longed to take your parcels I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today you tend it with such care. I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there. I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you I smiled and said, "It?s me." You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there. It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away." You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I?ll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.- So very sorry to hear the sad news of Marzi. My heart goes out to you at this very sad time. Run free dear Marzi over that Rainbow Bridge. God blessLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks to everyone, its hard enough to accept Mirza is no longer with us, but the fact that she was seen with the Agency staff/ police under control and then an hr later they called to request a pick up for a dead dog. The witness has identified the dog as being the same one and now Im waiting for the investigation to be concluded so I get the official version. I have already organised a Post Mortum and also am also getting legal advice. Alot of the facts since Mirza was spotted on the M25 are extremely fishy. 70 plus people contacted the Highways Agency and made reports about the dogs on the 10th afternoon, some tried to get out of their cars to retrieve the dogs but the motorway staff asked them not to do so, now I have to investigate the death and hopefully the facts will come to light soon, as I will not allow a cover up. The body given to me was kept in a small freezer for 5 days, since the 10th evening, the face is not recognizeable so we still have some hope that its not Mirza even though all the other facts say otherwise. Mirza was my baby and living without her is not easy, infact I probably spend more time with her than any of my kids, she was such a darling and so very affectionate. If anyone can advice me about the best route forward I would be obliged, you can also email me at krishykapur@hotmail.com if you prefer a more private manner to correspond, regards, KrishyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- By the edge of a wood at the foot of the hill, Is a lush green meadow where time stands still, Where friends of a man and woman do run, when their time on earth is over and done, For here between this world and the next , Is a place where each beloved creature find's rest ! On this golden land they wait and play till Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day. No more do they suffer in pain or sadness for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness!!!! Their limbs are restored their health renewed their bodies have healed strength imbuled !!!! They run through the grass without even a care, untill one day they Stop and sniff the air !!! All ears pricked forward, eyes dart side to side, Then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack ! For just that instant their eyes have met Together again person and pet, So they run to each other these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last !! The sadness they felt whilie they were apart has turned into Joy once more in each heart, They embrace with a love that will last forever and side by side they cross over together !! Run wild and free MARZI with the warmth of the sun on your back forever x x What a beautiful girl x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Neither Thorndon nor Weald, its the other side (the Romford side) of the M25/A12 still. There is a large area called Maylands Golf and Country Park and then at the borders of that near the A12 is the area where all the deer are - can be seen from the roads quite often - and it is believed Khiza headed that way before reaching the A12. Owner lives very near 'Duck Wood' which adjoins Maylands. Hope that helps.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- M25 junction 28 is the one that leads down to the A12 Brook Street roundabout so, is the parkland Thorndon, where reunited Fable was, or Weald Park? Sadly, too far away to help, just know this junction from years of travelling to Suffolk.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Krishy has been in contact with the Highways Agency to get more details about where Khiza was found, and he was actually found on the A12 near the M25 junction/roundabout (not at J28 of M25 as originally thought). This is near an area of parkland with a lot of deer (and Khiza always liked to head in this direction) so Marzi could still been in the area. Krishy is out walking the forest and had been heading to J28/M25 but is going to head back and go towards the A12 area. If there is anyone local who can help with postering in the area that would be very helpful as Krishy cannot walk that long distances due to health issues. He is on the look out for all the other missing dogs in the area too. Stay safe Marzi and away from the busy road girl. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Great you've got one home and I sympathise with your plight - but may I gently suggest that naming such huge sums as a reward can only encourage the 'ransoming' of pet dogs which is becoming such a curse. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Also may be worth a call to Tag K9 who are now collecting local dogs in the B&D area 01375 488038. Wanderers Haven will need a call as there email is not working 01708 220168. Marzi & Khiza are such outstanding dogs that it will be hard for them to be overlooked. Stay safe you pair. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Yes without doubt phone all local rescues and homing centres. DW's for sure which hasn't been mentioned (maybe council cover's it?) not sure if there are council boundaries overlapping? Also worth keeping an eye on road and rail (sorry). If owners get reports in of sightings they need to note times and where / when. Plot the moves of these two and consider scenting when there is positive movements. Stay safe in the meantime you two!! Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Just spoken to a very helpful lady at Maylands Golf club. Owner had already notified her that Marzi and Khiza were missing in the area and the lady had even kindly made up some posters and put them up at the club. I am going to send her the poster from DL once the pic is on it and she'll replace her ones. She is looking out for the dogs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Marzi and Khiza escaped from their house in Sheffield Drive. They were seen in 'Duck Wood' which is a fairly small area of forest but it interconnects to larger areas - Maylands Golf and Country Club and Dagnam Park so they could have travelled further afield that way. Owner has contacted local Police, RSPCA, Battersea, Council, Gemini Kennels. He is going to call around the local vets and also try the kennels that often take B&D strays as well as postering the area. Photos will be on their way to admin shortly so once they're on the posters, any local help with postering in the area will be much appreciated. Romford/Dagenham dogs are certainly keeping all you great helpers busy......no more go missing please, and all get yourselves home!! Stay safe Marzi and Khiza. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
