How pleased I am to see Fec has been found and reunited with his loving owner, I kept checking on his page and was so very happy tonight to see him in the blue, give him a big hug from me and big licks from my cocker boy Jarvis, I do hope he is not too traumatized by his ordeal.   Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

When I saw this dog the bloke had him sat at the crossing so I couldn't see his back paws anyway. I'm keeping a look out, we always notice staffies they're our favorite dogs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hi, We rushed down to sowerby bridge as soon as we got the call - we didnt see any dogs but were down there as often as we can now. Fec has 4 white paws but the back two have a little bit of white on so could easily be missed. He also has short legs for a staff and not too bulky. fingers crossed he walks round there again. Thank you very much for everyone who is helping.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The lad was at the crossing near the Engineers pub on Wharf street, he had a hat on and looked in need of a good shave, dark coloured facial hair, slim build perhaps late 20's 5'10" ish would be my best guess. It would have been around 4pm as my daughter had called to tell me the bus hadn't turned up at school and that was why I was passing through. Hope this helps, sorry I couldn't be of more help. Twopooches: Roughly what time did you see the lad walking this dog? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Head Office: Does anybody know if FEC'S owner has been informed about twopooches sighting? I noticed there is no reply from owner so maybe they haven't logged on since it was posted. It would be worth owner hanging around this crossing as the young lad may take the dog this way every day for a walk?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Which paws are white? I'm in Copley and am always driving through Sowerby bridge, I'll keep a look out for him. How big is he? I did see a dark brindle staffy with a white chest and two front white paws with a scruffy young bloke at the crossing in Sowerby bridge today as I drove through, wouldn't like to say whether or not it was Fec, the dog was quite smallish and not very bulky.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is there any more news on Fec? Any recent sightings etc? I live on the edge of Halifax (Shelf side) so I am more than willing to come over & help in the search, we just need a recent sighting so at least we have a clue where to start searching. Has an advert been placed in the local paper? I do believe this will start the ball rolling again, especially if the date he went missing is quoted & the fact that he may have been stolen. I really want to see Fec on Reunited page, home safely. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you amber and bryns mum, Im afraid its not my boy but thank you so much for keeping an eye out. Been quite an eventful week but havent been able to update as im moving house. Had a phone call saying a stray staffy has been seen running about savile park area - we searched n searched but no luck. Also had a few calls saying a local drunk fella has been seen with a Fec lookalike around king cross area and in halifax town centre- we havent been able to catch him yet. He's described as quite a tall guy with a scar on his forehead above his eyebrow. Had my first prank call tonight - was told by a man he has our dog and will be keeping it as the reward wasnt enough. We went to meet him at savile park, then king cross and then rang to give us lots of abuse. Thanks again to people looking out for my little Fec Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi- don't want to raise any hopes but there's a dog that looks similar at Springfield Kennels in Ossett. Afraid I don't know if it's a boy or a girl - it's on the pups and muts page (www.pupsandmutsdogrescue.co.uk). Fingers crossed.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am heading to Sowerby Bridge tonight to look for Flo & Georgie, sorry I have only just read this story about Fec. I will definitely keep an eye out for Fec (the white chest is very distinctive) I will be looking out for people that have dogs on leads (just in case it is the "down & outs"). I would advise a lost advert in the local newspaper as this really helped me with finding Sasha, on the advert quote "possibly stolen" so people will know to look out for somebody that has recently got a dog. I have my fingers crossed for Fec's safe return xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have put a poster in Halifax Probation Office and the receptionist will look out for people with 'new' dogs. There is a vet at the top of Tuel Lane/Burnley Road make sure they have the poster. I dont know who organises the 'Big Issue' sellers but try to find out and contact them. Also take leaflets into the Salvation Army and drug agencies in Halifax. Dont think they'll approve of the discription 'down and out' though.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know we are quite far away but maybe worth a try. Have you tried the Leeds Dog Warden? I know there was a staffy picked up in the Kirkstall/bramley area today by the police, the local lollipop lady told me. Apparently this dog was walking down on its own without a collar nr a very busy junction. Hope she's found soon xxxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Keelah - efforts for Georgie (HX7) are being concentrated on Haworth (BD22) which is in the opposite direction from Sowerby Bridge. There have been sightings of Georgie in Haworth, but it would be great if Fec's owners could keep their eyes out just in case the sightings we've had are another dog.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
