- Thank you Lewisham dog warden as always! The wonderful dog warden has asked the kennels details be removed...Please remember ...Lewisham were not on duty this weekend but monitored ...as always

- Wonderful news welcome home Luna, shame there was lack of communication and confusion as to where Luna was - with DW which I find strange for Lewisham as they're usually pretty good. Glad reunited :)

- Such good news - nothing like a bit of teamwork! Just had a text from Luna’s owner to say that she’s being thoroughly spoilt. Welcome home Luna and no more wandering off on your own. Please stay close and safe xx

- From owner on Dog Lost South London FB page - thank you to Karen for her kind help. "The Dog Warden has just called! We can collect her now- on our way to Swanley!
This site has been fantastic! Thank you everyone x" - 2018-06-02 16:06 Millys Mum
- Skywalker99 - I couldn't agree with you more! I believe I'm right in recalling that there's also a pound somewhere in the Lambeth/Southwark area. I've also left a voicemail message for Anja encouraging her to call DL's Admin number. Such a shame that the finders couldn't have taken her into a local vets to be scanned.

- I've just had a look through my old DL notes. I don't suppose it's still correct but I have a note of Lewisham Council's out-of- hours service which is (or was) 020 8314 6000. Worth a try? Anyone else got any contact numbers. It's amazing that Luna could be taken miles away to kennels and yet they were unable to take her to her home address which is just down the road providing Luna's owners can show proof of ownership, which I'm sure they can. Sounds like they need to move into the 21st century.

- And given that Luna's owner had already been to the pound where Luna was supposed to be and explained the situation and was told the dog warden would be in touch this is a pretty poor show by lewisham council......Last edited: 2018-06-02 15:53:10 by Skywalker99

- Obviously I don't know for certain these days but if they've said Luna has been transferred to kennels, it's likely that she may have gone to Woodlands Boarding Kennels in Chevening (near Westerham). What a worrying and diabolical situation. Do any of the co-ordinaries on here have a direct number for the Lewisham dog wardens? I would do as Skywalker suggests to call the DogLost Admin number.

- How can they not know where! I hope Luna will be ok until Monday. I would phone doglost helpline, not all comments are monitored

- Does anyone know how i can contact the Dog Warden for Lewisham? Apparently Lina has now , despite my efforts been tranaferred to a kennel and Lewisham Council dont appear to know where? They have my details but cant do anything until Monday- shes now missed 4 doses of her medication and has not had her prescription food! Any help would be appreciated thanks Last edited: 2018-06-02 15:28:03 by Anja

- Hi
I am Luna’s owner. Firstly can i thank you all for your concern and help. I went to Wearside Road this morning and spoke to the security and they were waiting for the Dog Warden to arrive. I left my details as i was told the Warden would contact me as soon as they arrived and as Luna has servere ezcema and daily medication, cream and a special diet i explained this was essential. They did say the Warden was on the way but as yet (its now been 4 hours, and Luna's micro chip details are up to date) i have not heard anything!
I hope i do soon? AxLast edited: 2018-06-02 13:29:10 by Anja - 2018-06-02 12:17 Debbie - Area Volunteer, South London
- I'll wait for updates on here regarding being with warden before sharing, hoping as it sounds like Luna, and under these circumstances with medication, surely the DW should allow the owners to take their dog home today due to this, yes I think the same, they are obliged to contacts owners if the chip info is up-to-date

- I have posted on Dog Lost South London FB page. J. x

- Yes, I was wondering about the microchip. Maybe the chip reader couldn’t find it, I know they can move sometimes. I hope the pound let Luna home today!

- Teresa - just to let you know that I texted Luna’s owners who are aware that it seems as though it is Luna who’s with Lewisham’s dog wardens (presumably they saw the Facebook post). Unfortunately Luna’s owners won’t be reunited until Monday when her details have been processed. But, because she on medication, they are going along to Wearside Road this morning and so really hoping the authorities may allow Luna to return home with them today. But, surely, if her microchip details are up-to-date, Lewisham Council could have contacted Luna’s owners direct (or aren’t they obliged to do this?).

- Hoping it’s positive news. Someone on FB has contacted Luna’s owners and they were going to ring the pound. Not heard anything since. Hopefully there will soon be good news x

- Teresa - that’s sounding like positive news - well done done for spotting that. I don’t do Facebook but have just been checking the SDK Environmental / DialAPest website (the London Borough of Bromley’s contracted out dog warden service) but nothing on there fitting Luna’s description. I then checked on Lewisham’s Council animal welfare website because they employ their own dog wardens, who are both very good and caring. Unfortunately they don’t show their found dogs (presumably in the best interests of the dogs) but there were contact details where owners are able to add their missing dog’s details to their website.

- Hi, I saw a post on FB yesterday for a dog who looks very like this one. I checked the post and the dog was taken to a pound in Wearside Road, Ladywell yesterday. Fingers crossed
