CROSS posted comment by her family:

Carla Lane Animals in Need Liverpool We as a family cannot thank you enough for your rescue operation and for your support and constant updates whilst Cleo was missing!

You have been absolutely amazing and we couldn’t have got her home without you.

So glad that she is safe and that Merseyside Police and the Highways Agency were able to help out and support you.

Special thanks go to Kellie and Cathy but I obviously know other kind souls were also involved and I’m sorry that I don’t know your names.

We’ve had several cats and a dog from Carla Lane over the last 17 years and we are grateful for other animals that you’ve rescued bringing such joy into our lives.

I fell in love with Cleo just from seeing her initial profile and picture that CLAIN posted last week. In my initial enquiry about her I even commented about just how “spirited” she looked. Our Egyptian Queen has certainly proven me right there!

So glad she is safe. Thank you to everyone involved as well as the kindness of people’s post shares, support, concern, positive messages and searches in their own time.

Forever grateful,

Nikki, Julie Wyatt & Kimberley Wyatt 💕

Wishing her a very happy future with her family. She is gorgeous and will sleep for England for a bit. Sending her big HUGS.

THANKS a MILLION to everyone who has helped you are all STARS. ❤️❤️❤️

Finally getting round to catching up a bit with her capture.

CROSS POSTED UPDATE from Carla Lane Animals In Need:

Our good news to brighten up your Monday was the safe capture of our missing Egyptian rescue dog, Cleo (was Terri). We and her owners, together with dedicated local volunteers including the team from Scouse Pets have been searching for her since she escaped on Saturday. You will all probably know that she had been spotted on the M57 which was extremely worrying. We were too busy earlier to update in full but we are happy to do so now!

Around lunchtime today we got a call to say that she’d been spotted again so we rushed to the scene only to find that she had run into a field full of dense brambles to hide. She then spooked again and headed just a few feet away from the roundabout leading to the M57. Our staff and volunteers updated the Highways agency and asked if Police assistance were possible to give us the best chance to capture Cleo safely, without driving her towards the heavy traffic and even more danger. Having agreed to close the motorway junctions, Merseyside Police even deployed their dog team to come to our aid. With the motorway and local roads closed off, we took our only chance and, with the help of the wonderful dog officers, our staff managed to get Cleo out safely. It was the most tense few hours ever but the best feeling to know she was finally safe. She is recovering from her ordeal at the sanctuary and her delighted owners can’t wait to have her back with them.

We cannot say enough thank yous to express the extent of our gratitude to the Merseyside Police officers in attendance today and also to those who assisted from afar, as well as the wonderful Highways Agency staff who supported our team throughout. Our staff also want to thank the incredible Deb, Jenny and Caroline who once again rushed to help another of our dogs without a minute’s hesitation. Thank you also to Laura Cart who headed to help as soon as she heard. You really are all heroes and we are so grateful for your kindness. Also to everyone who has searched, shared and sent good wishes over the weekend - THANK YOU SO MUCH!

This dramatic capture really was above and beyond the call of duty for all concerned, and it was all for the love of a little rescue girl. Cleo, we hope you know how many people love you! We are blessed with the very best support and will sleep a little easier tonight knowing Cleo is safe. Here’s the special girl you’ve all been waiting to see, getting some much-needed rest.

Thanks Jayne I am in touch with family.

Another CROSS POSTED post:

hello Nikki Wyatt I'm one of the 2 people who picked Terri up from paris sunday. I'm sure carla lane know this but her chip will be foreign, they need to call petlog or identibase asap to put a temporary registration on the chip, if she is found taken to the vet it will come up as not known unless they have online registration. Her chip number will be on her vacc card if not i have it as i checked the import docs.

Lots of shares on fb for this gorgeous girl. THANK YOU to everyone who is helping.

CROSS POSTED POST by OWNERS:

Our beautiful dog has slipped the lead outside our home in Orrell Park and run away.
We adopted her from a rescue centre on Friday and have had her less than 24 hours. She is a street dog from Egypt and has had a tough life. She’s extremely gentle but terrified and CAN be approached.

There has been a sighting of her in Walton Vale. Please if you spot her can you advise.

She does not answer to her name of Cleo as we’ve given her this name upon adoption.

Please contact us if you see her but please refrain from negative comments as this was an accident and is common with former street dogs. My poor mum already feels bad enough and we are devastated.
