I am so delighted for you Rockets dad! Well done for following the advice that Lynn gave you and postering far and wide to alert people that Rocket was missing. Poster power is definately the way forward, as everyone at DL knows! Rocket obviously has a story to tell, and we at DL look forward to piecing together where she has been..........welcome home lovely girl! x

Hello all, We are on cloud nine and so so delighted to have Rocket home. Without the advice on this site we would not have made our poster campaign so thorough and it was this that got her back. The support we have had has been overwhelming and we are so grateful to have her home. Thanks everyone for the interest and support. Could anyone local give us a little extra hand and take down any posters they see still up - we have posted over 250 so it may take us a little time!!!

Lost from DT6 which looks like slightly North of Symondsbury on google. Owner, good idea to call the Blackmore Vale mag, tel: 01963 365100 and put an item in dog lost piece, also the dog warden for Devon as well. Keep in contact with the rescues because Rocket may be mistaken for a different breed from Lurcher, e.g. patterdale cross, terrier cross etc. etc.

We saw loads of posters all around the town yesterday so well done to who ever stuck them up!We live on a farm just East of Bridport - so will keep looking!Which area did Rocket actually come from?

Is there a Marshwood Vale mag that you could put an ad in? Also Bridport News.I know these are only weekly and hopefuly she will be home by then but it's better to get it in asap.

Great to see you have registered on site alfierocket and so can update us. Can you get an ad in the Blaclmore Vale asap? Have there been any sightings at all?? Please link in with Tippers people (lurcher stolen from nearby) as she is missing from your area too and you can pool ideas.

Thanks everyone for interest and help. Still no luck with the search but we have put out over 150 posters and contacted everyone we can think of not to mention walked miles and miles and driven everywhere we can think of. Please anyone who is local stay vigilant and keep eyes peeled, we miss rocket so much

Rocket has a small triangular flash of white on her chest and small white bits on 3 of her paws. She has a distinguishing V shape missing out of the top of one of her ears. She is light frame and has soft longish coat. Looks grey in some lights more than black. Dog warden, police all advised on her missing. Owner seriously postering his area in readiness of easter holiday visitors just in case.

Rocket is now posted on Sighthounds on Line, and Sighthound Welfare Trust Forums. Also sent through to Greyhound Rescue West of England for inclusion on their website.

Nearly 200 posters have been e mailed out to local helpers and registered organizations. Sighted by a neighbour wandering just minutes after she got out of her house but no sightings since.
