- i too lost a rescue that bolted with collar harness and leader still attached i think more information should be given to new owners and to be stressed when you pick the rescue up how very scared they are they are so scared they,ll pull you over to get away we now use a jogging belt with carabina to harness and a slip lead could never go through the ten days she was missing again but so pleased thisgirl is found x

- Jasper - I know you are not on Facebook so here is latest comment from Katie F on site:
".... My trap is set.
Elsbeths Male fit and was happy to go in so it’s up set and bait trails laid. Ricky is staying in situ and phone number is 07534 789464
He still has my number to call if any problems. I’m actually available from midday tomorrow." and,
" No one in fields please. Use bottom gate to check trap and can view fields from road."Last edited: 2018-06-08 14:09:52 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland - 2018-06-08 12:50 Poochpal - Regional Co-ordinator - South West - Police Liaison Team

- Yvonne - do you have access to a printer? If so it would be very helpful if you print off some posters and display in strategic places around the area. You can protect them from the weather by inserting into plastic pockets upside down so that the opening is at the bottom. If you can laminate them, so much the better. Just click on View Poster above and then Print Poster on the subsequent page.Last edited: 2018-06-07 23:01:17 by GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland

- Thanks Yvonne that is really helpful. It may become necessary to set up a feeding station and trap, it will need to be somewhere suitable and monitored all the times is that something you can help us with?

- I live literally the nearest house to the top of the slope into the lorry park of the south bound services. I’ve just come back from walking my dog with my daughter through the services and down the adjacent lane. Sadly, we didn’t see any sign of Zena. We did see a water bowl and some wet pet food someone has left in the overgrowth. We left some dog treats there next to it.
I will look again tomorrow.

- A long shot but if Zena does head south in search of some pals, there are some kennels about 5 miles south. It might be worth giving them call to make them aware:
Taundean Kennels
Poplar Cottage, Church Rd, Churchinford, Taunton, Somerset, TA3 7RA
Tel 01823 275813

- I am very local to this area. I have called the farmer and he is aware of Zena and the efforts to recapture her. If I can be any assistance, please contact me. Fiona Drew

- From helper Angie:
"I had to leave I saw her and she looks well and alert she is staying in the overgrowth between the left park and the side road to farms. One left wet cat food and water in a clearing where she popped her head up. I'll update more info when home , the clearing is fairly parallel to the start of the lorry parking spaces by the Services building end." - 2018-06-07 14:49 GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
- Text received from Jasper - just leaving Wellington on way to scene to assist.
Latest info from Facebook is that she is in a narrow strip of scrubland behind the lorry park.
Police have been called to assist.
Will update post area to TA3 for services. - 2018-06-07 14:27 Marianne

βUrgent help required! β
There is a dog running around the southbound Taunton Deane services, postcode TA3 7PF, if anyone is in the area able to help contain the dog before it gets onto the motorway, you would be an absolute godsend!! It is a female German Shepard. π’π’ππ - 2018-06-07 12:37 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
- New, recent sighting on lane behind Days Inn, so still local, this is encouraging.
Anyone helping please approach her quietly and use food to tempt her.
DO NOT chase and keep yourself between her and direction of motorway.Last edited: 2018-06-07 12:37:52 by Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex - 2018-06-07 12:20 Bobble - Area Co-ordinator - Somerset & East Sussex
- Seen going into lanes behind Days Inn, search of area but no further sightings.
@GeoffA please can you liaise with Jasper re anything useful on Facebook. I have checked her contact details are on the co-ords forum. - 2018-06-07 12:03 GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
- Jasper - latest comment from owner: "She disappeared behind the lorry park onto the lane where the trees are which runs adjacent to the services on the M5 Siuthbound x"
- 2018-06-07 11:58 GeoffA - Area Volunteer - Cornwall, Scotland & Northumberland
- Jasper - no updates via FB as yet but have offered the following advice:
"Note that although Zena has run off from SOUTHBOUND side there is an overbridge just to the west of the services and what appears to be an underpass just to east. Also water courses run under the motorway so check for any culverts as well as the area north of motorway."
Owner has also been advised to re-check local farms, outbuildings and water courses.

Drone SAR are checking pilot availability but may be restrictions due to proximity of motorway and fuel station.
