- Sydneysmum, there is no regulations that specifiy the wardens must promote the dogs needing homes, they put the emphasis on the owners keeping details up to date on the microchip & contacting the wardens if their dog is missing. Many wardens do promote the dogs, however they will often withhold information and/or pictures to help ensure that the dog isnt claimed by someone who isnt their owner, the wardens do a great job & we support their judgements as to the information they chose to publicise x

- Lisa P. - thanks for that info Lisa -
Could you also tell me - do ALL Dog Wardens in the U.K. have to comply with the same set of regulations/rules?
Or are they independent & just kind of 'do their own thing'?
The reason I ask is - so many Dog Wardens in 'Central' NE & NW appear to be so swamped with work they have no time to take a picture & basic details to upload to doglost. As their part in the 'chain' is so very vital - would it be possible to get them some help? A local volunteer to assist with the admin side of things maybe?
And as so many Dog Wardens, in the areas I mentioned, clearly have no way of taking & uploading a photo (or they would have done so) couldn't we raise funds to insure ALL Wardens have the equipment they need to do their jobs effectively?
Just a thought

- Sydneysmum, if you have questions you will need to contact the dog warden directly. The dog has been scanned by the dog warden, Doglost volunteers spend a lot of time adding the dogs to our site to help promote the dogs, they add the details given by the warden x

- Can anyone tell me if this boy is completely white? or are there other marks near his tail?
What are the odds? -
six Staffy types ALL in the NG post code area - NONE have been scanned - but ALL are listed as "chip details out of date" or 'not registered'.
How does that work then?
If the dogs 'chip' details are listed as 'unknown' - how do you know the chip is 'out of date'??
