Thank you for all your kind words and assistance with the search. I would like to thank so many people who gave help with telephone information, physical sightings or searching. We would not of found him without all of your help. He is fully restored to being a clean dog once more, has been spoilt over the last 24hrs and is living the high life with his brother Fred. Marie and I will definitely stay on as helpers and provide as much assistance as we can.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am so very very pleased for you and Marie. I was out in the woods at first light with my two but there was no sign of him! Give the little one a bath, lots of cuddles and a treat from us. Babs xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

BARNEY'S HOME!!!!!! Marie and I (Barneys owners) found him this morning in Kimbolton school after a journey that led from Riseley, Tilbrook and finally to Kimbolton. I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for there help and support during the search. The advert was not placed by me, so I do not have the permissions to change the status to found - but he is safe, a bit skinny and maybe has a dose of fleas, and extremely smelly but he is in one pieceLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Positive sightings in Melchbourne Woods this afternoon and tonight, including one by the owner, however - we did not get to catch him as he bolted once more. We believe he is in the woods now and will be conducting a full search tomorrow morning. Anyone who wishes to join will be gratefully welcomed. Please be aware that he is very scared so either approach with extreme caution or call on my number - 07760 172256. He is looking remarkably well for his 5th night in the wilderness.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Unfortunately all searching today was to no avail, whether this was due to Barney not surfacing because of the extreme weather conditions we can only hope. The good news is that all the local people now know about him and are on the look out. Thank you to all people who have sent best wishes messages and to the people who helped with the search today.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

A further update.... as the last email said - Barney has been sighted twice on Thursday morning in the area that he went missing from. We have arranged for a group to come out and help with the search for him. He is a people dog and will respond to people calling for him. The problem is we need as many people as possible to help - the area is vast farm land with a number of places he could be. Please call me on 07760 172256 if you want further information to assist with this matter - if you can spare 1/2 an hour or half a day I would be forever grateful with your help. The area is near Rushden in Northants. The weather is getting colder so we need to find this little fella as quickly as possible, once again....please helpLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
