Still no news - think its time for a new round of posters and leaflet etcs... It will be a year since they went missing next month - will get the press involved again.

still no news - has been 9 months now. Am still convinced they are with someone - feels like a waiting game. Think about them everyday and hope I get that phonecall and they come home.

Have been having major probs with pc - hopefully sorted now. Still no news but am going to ask local press to run a story - 'home in time for xmas' type story - fingers crossed they'll do it - will keep you all posted x

Another month passes and still no word. Keep driving around the place where the last possible sighting was and mention it to lots of dog walkers when we are out and about over the fileds etc...Just keeping hopeful....

There is a MLTC champion show on Sunday - will take poster and remind everyone that Sally and Alfie are still missing. Andrea will contact you when she goes back to Uni (on Sunday I think) to organise putting posters up etc. Sorry that no news from last sighting - stay positive and keep up the momentum. Still not found my doggies yet but the good news is the local newspaper did run an update article 2 weeks ago - which is when I last emailed them. They hadnt replied to my email to say that they would be running it and so as I have been on holiday I have only just found out. I am so pleased - I havent heard anything as a result of it. But it is a popular local newspaper and so I know it will have done a good job in letting people know Sally and Alfie are still not home - fingers crossed!!!

Just to update - still havent found my babies but did have a phonecall from someone saying that they they have seen someone walking two dogs looking like mine not far from where we lost them. So have been back numerous times but cannot see anything yet- will keep going back and fingers crossed it may be them!

Maybe I could bring my two up to Warwick to area of last sighting and hand out lots of flyers / get press to do a story / something to bring focus on the fact they are still missing - maybe go to Shipston? Don't give up hope.x

No news at all Im afraid - I am off work for a few weeks now and so will have more time to post leaflets, talk to other local dog walkers etc...It really is so hard - I think about them all the time but have to remain positive..............

Put up poster at grooming day - spoke to someone who has a couple of 'working lakies' - doesn't seem to be a particular club / organisation but she said people meet up at game fairs - the one in Kent was in April so missed it - think there are more in autumn. Any news? thinking of Sally, Alfie and you.x

Just got copy of MLT newsletter and there is a piece about Sally and Alfie inc contact numbers. Feel sure if any Lakie owner sees them or similar dogs will question owners / contact you. I keep looking at Gumtree just incase any Lakies are for sale - haven't as yet. Expect you have already contacted Terrier rescue.co.uk. Stay positive - lots and lots of people know Sally and Alfie are still missing.x

I noticed on Alfie's page that there was another possible sighting in Warwick - was wondering if you linked up with a Lakey owner and went over to the area maybe if people saw a similar dog it would jog their memory - wonder if they said he was wearing collar / was with someone? Was also thinking that their coats will be getting long and looking more like Teddy Bears. Keep positive. Thinking of you and Sally and Alfie.x

I've been trying to navigate the new site in the hope of good news that Sally and Alfie have been found - so very sorry that there still is no news - don't give up hope. There is a champ show in July so will remind everyone that they are still missing and to keep ears / eyes alert. Had a phonecall last night from someone who saw a dog who looked like Alfie on the housing estate opposite Warwick Racecourse - Sally wasnt to be seen - but am hoping if it was Alfie then Sally wont be far behind. Have been and postered and had a good look around - no luck yet.

Had a call today - about a found dog - it wasnt mine but was so lovely. It is just nice to know that people still have my leaflets and putting up the posters definately helps.

So sorry that there isn't any news - I check regularly just incase - I'm sure you've prbably already done this but if Sally and Alfie are running free across farmland etc wondered if you had postered animal feed suppliers / agricultural markets to let farmers / smallholders aware that they are missing? I also wondered if they were making their way back towards home from Shipston re the woman from the pub - don't give up hope - they are tenacious terrriers.x

It may not have been them - but at least if she had rung us we could have gone and had a look - but on the positive side - there is a chance that they are still failry local and together - just want someone to find them and call the dog warden!

we popped into a village pub not too far from where we live - they have one of our posters up. The barman said a woman had commented a week ago that she had seen two dogs running together and made a note of our number but didnt call us - so frustrating. The baramn couldnt remember where she said she had seen the dogs. I

Message for any helpers. Why not adopt a vet and set up a doglost folder featuring Sally and any other local missing dogs. It will give clients something to read and highlight Doglost.co.uk

Sorry that there is no news - wonder if it would be worth handing out flyers at Shipston at the weekend - posters always seem to work and I guess any publicity has got to be good - I think talking to other dog walkers in the area they were last seen may be an idea incase they are still around there. I can't imagine how it is for you but stay positive.x

Have had a couple of false alarms over the past few days - but at least it shows people are taking notice of our leaflets and posters. Have put a few poster up further a field but am not really sure what to do next - do you think it is worth getting in touch with the local press again?? Or putting a biggish ad in the paper??? Any advice from folks most welcome!

Told everyone at Lakeland Terrier show yesterday about Sally and Alfie - was told by membert of Midland group that there is a large traveller site at Shipston on Stour. Hope there is news soon.x

We have been in touch with farmer and we think it was our dogs that escaped from his barn before the dog warden had a chance to pickthem up. Have been out postering the surrounding villages and will contact warden tomorrow to let her know what has been happening. Looks as though my dogs no longer have collars on - think they are on their own out there at the mo. Hoping someone finds them and takes them to a vet or calls the warden - fingers crossed!!!

Any advice on approaching traveller sites? We were called by a woman today who said that she had been asked at Crufts about the value of Lakeland terriers - we are not far from the NEC. She advised us to poster local travleer sites - not sure how to find them - do the council keep a list or do we drive around looking for them? Once we find one - any advice on how I should handle the situation??? What should I say/do??

Thankyou so much. Any amount of support is so appreciated. We were told by the dog warden that a farmer in Shipston on Stour - about 15 miles from us had caught 2 terriers and put them in his barn. He called the dog warden but by the time she had arrived they had got out through a hole in the barn. We are awaiting details from the dog warden regarding the farmer so we can go and show him pictures and are going to poster the vilages around there too.

Sorry to hear that you have had hoax calls - MLTC members have beeen informed and are aware that Sally and Alfie are missing.We're going to a Lakeland Terrier Club show (a different club) on Saturday so will alert everyone there too - Lakie people from all over the country will be there. Thankyou - yes they are quite mischevious and would test the patitnece of a saint and so am hoping someone will have had enough and hand em in!!!! Nothing has come of the Wellesbourne search. We are trying to now report them as stolen to the police and get a crime reference number - but are nothaving an awful lot of joy - any advice from anyone????

I looked after a Lakie once for a friend, he didn't have much recall and I lost a lot of weight running around after him! So if someone has them, they might not hang on to them long... Good Luck, too far off to help

Have been out putting posters up in Wellesbourne Warks - we had a phone call saying someone had seen dogs being walked there - fitting the description of Alfie and Sally - we had a walk about calling them - no sign of them so far - may be the posters will be seen by the person who may have them - fingers crossed!

Owner has had problems registering, hopefully this will be sorted soon. The area Alfie and Sally have gone missing in is CV32. They have been putting posters up and ringing the police and dog wardens regularly. They have also appeared in the local newspapers but to no avail. So sorry to see that these two lakies are missing - I hope that they are found very soon - maybe if someone finds them they will return them quickly when they realise how feisty Lakelands are. There was a lot of interest in Lakies at Discover Dogs at Crufts - they are on the vulnerable breed list so not that many around. Will alert Midland Lakeland Terrier Club incase anyone hears of anything - my thoughts are with you and I hope you get some news very soon.
