All is good! He is home safe & sound! Delivered him tonight back home to grateful owners. Somehow he had made his way into Bridestowe village & got lost. Someone found him who knew my mum ‘loves’ golden retrievers & would never say ‘no’. So she’d been looking after him this evening. Emailed me about ‘her new friend’ for the night, so I searched & put 2 & 2 together. George is happily reunited with his mum & dad & best chum Marley. It was so wonderful to see them all reunited. My Mum was delighted he found his home again, albeit sad to say goodbye to such a wonderful chap. She can’t wait to see George & Marley again.
Personally, I just had to see distressed owners & dog reunited! I can entirely understand how distressing it was waiting to find George again. And I hope that if I am ever in that situation that someone would do their utmost to get us back together, even if it interferes with Friday ‘beer’ night. Nothing beats human-dog(pet) bond once it has formed!!
