Is it possible for DOgLost's police liason to help in this case? May help ascertain if Simba is in police kennels or is missing.
MollyW
I'm afraid that due to the health of the person who was looking after her it is difficult to get accurate information, but we believe they were in Scunthorpe at the time Simba went missing. Thanks so much for your help.

Just posted this on facebook: URGENT - Desperate situation

Anyone any ideas on how to get Simba reunited with her owner?

She appears to have been seized by police, but even this can't be verified.

Simba is owned and loved by John (senior) but his troubled son who is also called John (junior) has serious mental health issues. John junior appears to have borrowed Simba and taken him as company on an unscheduled trip.

Father and son usually live together in Tyne & Wear.

We believe John junior was arrested by Humberside Police some time between Wednesday 13th and Friday 15th June in Scunthorpe (he was putting flowers on an ex-girlfriend’s grave.)

He was then released either on Friday 15th or Saturday 16th.
John Junior says that the police took Simba, but it is hard to be sure as he is rambling and very distressed.

Humberside Police will not reveal whether they have Simba. John Junior's ex-wife was apparently told that Simba was taken to "their council kennel”.

We have spoken to the appropriate kennels that found dogs in that area would be taken to - Sangreat Kennels - but they have said today that there are no other council kennels, and they don’t have her - that she’s probably in Police Kennels which are in a secret location.

The investigating officer (relatives have a badge number but not his name) is away until Saturday 23rd and the police support officer said there’s no-one who can help in the meantime - but they have updated the file to say that John senior owns the dog and wants Simba back and that John has now been sectioned and is in a hospital in Gateshead.

Simba has now been registered on DogLost - dog ID 130593. But as the policeman isn't back for more than 7 days the family are VERY concerned that the dog could enter the lost dog system and be rehomed or even put to sleep in that time.

Can anyone help the family, who are relatives of my most trusted friends.

Can we try to solve this urgent problem please? anyone got any ideas of how to find if the police do have Simba and get her reunited with her family?

Can we have a more specific area please?
