Yep, we will move him to Re-united with pleasure Melinda! So glad that Sefton is back with you safe and sound. The greatest honour you can do for us is to remain on Dog Lost as a helper, and help re-unite other dogs as Sefton has been. Keep spreading the word about DL as its a great site, with great helpers, and it WORKS! Big hugs to Sefton! x Please get him chipped and an ID tag tomorrow!!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thankyou everyone for your messages - Sefton has been found! He came back this morning to the place he was lost from. Poor boy had been out for three nights and was very thin and has been fast asleep most of the day. Suppose we will never know what he got up to, but think we will only walk him from his home off lead in future. Thankyou so much to this website, wish we'd used it earlier as gave us lots of hope. Hope every dog lost can be found and hope anyone with a lost dog reading Seftons story can be given hope for theirs. Not sure how Seftons profile gets moved to blue, hope someone can do this! Thank you all for your help. MelindaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ok thanks for the update Melinda, have you called the 3 kennels to see if Sefton has been brought in there? I would suggest postering everywhere, the likelihood is that someone has picked him up and when the Dog Warden comes back tomorrow, Sefton will come to light. In the meantime try all the vets in the local area and keep trying the police. Your local station will be Minehead, but try Barnstaple too as you are close to the border. Is Sefton close enough to where he was stayng to make his way back there? Is the owner still in the area looking for Sefton??Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, I am the daughter of Seftons owner, Sefton has been to the area before a couple of times, but was visiting. He is very keen at hunting so probably went after a deer and has got lost. Will keep trying the police, apparently dog warden is on holiday so I'm hoping someone has got him and is not sure what to do with him. He can be very wary of new people but quickly starts to trust them MelindaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thank you Julie! Come on Sefton where are you? Owner can you update us, are you local or visiting the area? Does Sefton know his way around and were you far from home? As it is a BH weekend please keep trying the police ~ both Avon and Somerset and Devon and Cornwall as you are so close to the border. Try the Dog Trust at Ilfracombe too as well as the local vets.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi. It's Julie from St Giles Kennels here. I'm not actually at the kennels today, but I've just rung them to check Sefton hasn't been brought in by the dog warden. The owner had just beaten me too it by a few minutes. Sefton hasn't been brought into St Giles, and it is possibly a bit out of our area. I belive the owner was given the number of the other holding kennels in Somerset, but Sefton hasn't been taken there yet either. I'm not going to be at the kennels until Wednesday, and hopefully Sefton will be home by then, but if he's not I will keep my eyes open for him. Good luck, JulieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
