I know it's probably nothing but on the Loot website, there is a female shih tzu for sale in Preston. There is no photo, which is unusual and there is only one for sale. It says that the dog is 11 weeks old. The map location of the seller is right next to the M55. There is no other information or anything, which is also quite unusual. Anyway, the contact telephone number is: 01772 726394 and the advert was posted on the 29 March 2008. All the advert says is: female, 11 weeks old, no papers, good temperament. The dog might not be available any more but it might be worth a try. Good luck! Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

As well as contacting the vets, I would get a Gazette for the next few nights and look under dogs for sale as well as dogs lost and found. I work on Mowbray Drive so I will keep my eye on the newsagents around Layton to see if she goes up for sale in any nearby shop windows. Then I think the next step would be contacting dog groomers in the area as she may be taken for a clip. Chin up, this site has helped lots of missing dogs, every extra pair of eyes is a bonus and a step nearer to finding her!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have printed off posters too, will see if Pets at Home, Squires Gate has one up and I regularly walk my 2 up at De Veres so will keep a look out. With her being so young and cute I think it is most likely that someone has picked her up so I think your best bet, being as she is chipped, is to use the Yellow Pages and ring all the vets in Blackpool area to ask if they routinely scan new patients and to leave a description. It must be a terrible time for you, I know how I would feel, but try and take heart in the fact that chips have brought lots of dogs back to their owners, and with her being a pup, she is bound to be taken to a vet by any new 'owner'Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
