I spent a couple of hours cycling around Plumley, Harridge Green, Midgham, Ashford, Sandleheath, Damerham, Bull Hill, Crendell, Cripplestyle, Broxham Hill & Daggons this evening, no joy I'm afraid.
However I did see 3 x people, walking 3 x dogs on leads, up Broxham Hill, one of which was a black Lab, wearing a red/pink collar, similar to the one Maisie is wearing in her photo. This led me to think about the earlier comment of her being seen heading towards to Alderholt from Broxham Hill and if somebody has mistaken this dog for Maisie.

I walked my dogs from Drove End car-park this morning, down past Warren Park Farm but I think tomorrow, I'll walk them towards Gorley, Stuckton and environs.Last edited: 2018-07-05 22:25:58 by ragebe

I note that alerts have been sent to those with an SP6 postcode. I'm in BH31 and it's about a 15-minute cycle across Ringwood Forest to Alderholt for me. I've been up that area twice for a look-see; definitely worth adding a few more postcodes as plenty of people in BH31 walk in the woods near Alderholt.

First the Family and Sheena and I would like to say thank you for all the help so far , it is frustrating but as with these cases it is not unusual for a dog to hide for a while before slipping up .What we would like to ask if while everyone is helping , they do not call or whistle at all for her, she will not come , she is scared .Please do not go onto private property as working farms are just that and they do not want People in there, and we want to keep good relations with them , and want to keep landowners on our side .any sightings please phone numbers as soon as possible one last tihng, please DONT drop/leave any food matter out for Maisie , it will only encourage Rats . Foxes and Badgers ,she wont eat it as is a very fussy eater and will only cause problems with vermin .THANK YOU ALL for your help in these matters . you are all very kind in giving up your time xxLast edited: 2018-07-04 09:13:06

Latest news: We've just heard she may have been seen in Broxhill heading back towards Alderholt at 7pm this evening.
SandyW
Have updated my friend who walks her Setters... she'll be keeping eyes peeled. Everything crossed she comes to someone soon. Maybe the campers will have a barbeque which might attract her, smell of food, etc..

Thank you labradorloopy it was a male and chipped assume he got home as Dog Warden picked him upx

Yes just seen post Nick , its plausable as the campers would be filling up in the farm last night ,and its only a couple of fields across , there is someone going to walk through woods the other end heading towards the farm but not going into farm , (we dont want to cause any trouble as it is a working farm) so please be aware she could be around Alderholt, she could move onto Sandleheath from there or back down the road to Fordingbridge
Nick
We've just been made aware of a Facebook post saying someone spotted her on the Hillbury Road near Alderholt at 5. That would make sense if she went further south-west after the farm. It means she's left Midgham Farm.Last edited: 2018-06-29 23:05:26 by Nick

Still no luck finding Maisie. We went for another walk early evening through the campsite at midgham farm and right into the woods and also through to the meadows but no luck. There is shade at least and water so hoping she is ok. The search starts again tomorrow. Thank you to everyone for their support and efforts.

A black lab with greying muzzle has been found in West Moors forestry. Not sure of sex, I was phoned to see if it was one of mine. Apparently the lab was alone and followed a dog walker. I estimate West Moors is about five miles across country. Don't know where dog is now but do know it's safe as I offered to take it if no one else could keep it over night. Will know more first thing when out with dogs.
Nick
We've been searching in the fields/woods between the end of Frog Lane and Midgham farm since midday. No luck finding Maisie yet. We're having a break and will go back out a little later when it's cooler and maybe Maisie is searching for food. We saw Sheila while on our walk.
Caroline
Thank you @ New Forest Dog Boarding!

Nick, worth checking out as sometimes lost dogs are picked up by someone and then let go again when they realise the dog may be missing and don't know what to do with them.

Please, always check any lead, however tenuous it may seem, sometimes these are what gets the dog home. Wishing you luck.
Nick
I've got the micro chip number and have updated the record.

Patlucky - I don't think she would have been able to get that far. Thanks for checking.

I'll be coming down (we're not local) to put up posters around Fordingbridge. Unfortunately, my father-in-law has had to leave for France so we're currently trying to coordinate the search remotely.Last edited: 2018-06-29 08:21:47 by Nick

Hi Sandy and Jenny, thanks for the messages. We had two drones yesterday evening looking south of St Mary's Church near where she was last seen. No luck. She used to be walked at Godshill, the cricket ground and Gorley Common, but they're too far away for her. She might go back to Barton's Road where she used to live in the centre of Fordingbridge. The new owners have been alerted but no sign yet. It's likely she's still south and/or West of St Mary's Church. Thanks.
SandyW
Hi Nick - I have a friend in Fordingbridge, who walks her Irish Setters daily... is there somewhere Maisie might make to - where she was normally walked, so I can ask my friend to look out for her ?

Hi Jenny, unfortunately my father-in-law has just moved and can't find the paperwork with the chip details. I'm really sorry. Can you call me on my mobile and I'll give you my father-in-law's number who is down there looking as well. He's also with someone with a drone. Thanks Niklas
