- That's great news that Millie is home! I volunteer at the kennels in Wrantage (St Giles) and was last there on Wednesday afternoon, so I must have only just missed her coming in! I'm so glad she's home safe and sound. JulieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Annie- just picked up your message but will pass on to Jayne to as well as she is away this weekend. FANTASTIC news. i will change Millie to reunited. It is a failure that the DW did not contact you especially as she was tagged- was this still on her?? Maybe a micro-chip as a welcome home present just in case she decides on another adventure. CJ. - FANTASTIC NEWS - Our beloved Millie is sitting on my lap as I type this! We took Greylady's advice and phoned kennels at Wrantage where she has been since Wed. She was taken there by the South Somerset Dog Warden, who was one of the very first people we contacted. We cannot believe the sheer incompetence of the system - why were we not contacted, when the dog warden had all the details? It could have saved 4 days time and heartache. I shall be following this up! Meantime, many thanks to all of you out there who have been helping to find Millie. We think Doglost is a fantastic operation and thankyou to Jayne at Head Office. From a very grateful owner ....BYE!!Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thank you everyone for your continued help. It's a great comfort - I didn't know losing your dog could be so devastating. Millie has left a very large hole for such a little dog. We have done everything recommended and continue to physically search and poster everywhere. Unfortunately the original poster is now slightly incorrect as we have established that she def. went missing from the Membury area (EX13 7AJ). Our hope is that she has been picked up by someone who is taking their time to notify the authorities. It remains a total mystery, as Millie doesn't do running off, not without her mother, who remains here.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks Julie for your sound advice there and yes I agree Drum kenels would be a likely place to look. Anne, the other kennels to try is St Giles at Wrantage near Taunton as they take Somerset strays (I know you are n Devon but this is very close to the border) Devon strays are taken to Foredowne kennels in Newton Abbott, so try there (I will be emailing them a poster in a minute) Put posters up everywhere, as Yasa says, and there are loads of Dog Lost helpers who will be doing the same. Fingers crossed she will be home with you soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Welcome on board Annie of Clodes. It will help enormously now that helpers can stay in touch with you. It is early days yet, and I'm sure Millie is just enjoying a little adventure. However, if she has run off she should be able to find her way home, but if picked up and not reported to the authorities, its a case of publicity. Hundreds of posters in plastic sleeves with the opening at the bottom, anywhere that people are likely to be over the weekend. You need to make her too hot to handle. Please also keep in touch with your local dog wardens and local pounds, and police stations. Aslo i would get some publicity for her in your local rags and free papers. The sooner the better really. You could also try your local radio for announcements over the weekend. Good Luck now xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Thanks julie62 Its good to know there are people out there looking for her. We have just established that in fact she disappeared on Wed. p.m from the MEMBURY area. Our land has a public footpath running through it, so it could be that she has followed some walkers and attached herself to them (she is exceptionally friendly). We are continuing to search for her on foot and by car and have put up many posters. If anyone else can do the same in the Membury area or within a 10 mile radius, I would be grateful. Desperate to find her, she has left a huge hole in this family. Have phoned all the authorities.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- This is quite close to me (I live in Beer). What part of Colyton was the owner visiting? My brother often goes walking around the Colyton area and kept a look out for Millie this morning, but saw no sign of her. Owner have you contacted the dog warden, kennels (especially Drum kennels nr Honiton and the kennels in Newton Abbot - sorry I can't remember the name!), local vets etc? Where have you postered? Unfortunately I can't help with the postering at the moment, as I'm recovering from an operation. It's important to put up as many posters as you can. Good luck. Come home soon MillieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
