Further update from Lee at Lost Dogs Dumfries & Galloway:
"From Lee: "Angus!! Never been so happy to post a photo! He’s thin, and collected some ticks, but otherwise he’s okay!! I’m over the moon and couldn’t have done it without the dedication of so many people helping locally... Jill Dobie Mary Neil Eileen Bryant Judy Fairburn, Howden Skimming Sharon Green
You are just amazing!!!!!!! Thank you!!!!

And not forgetting the amazing family at Irelandton farm who safely secured him in an outbuilding this afternoon and allowed us to get close to him.... we were about to move the trap to him.. but it wasn’t needed!!
More news later xx"

Good to hear great people involved, they just need a little luck to back up all that hard work.
DogLostOwl
They cannot set up a feeding station until he settles in one area and he has been on the move so far. A competent local team is working to monitor his movements.
Wetnose
Is a feeding station being considered?

Have shared to Drone SAR for Lost Dogs - if they have a pilot available or ground search they will need to liaise with the owner though so perhaps they can contact them direct

fh - I have been advised that the owner is in the area and has been trying the usual commands / whistles but sadly no success so far.
fh
As he is a trained gundog, could someone familiar with gundog commands provide info on the best commands or whistle sequences to get his attention. My pointer has never been trained to work, but he is trained to come to 2 toots on a whistle and his recall is fairly reliable to the whistle , even at a distance. Would Angus be the same? Gundogs are usually trained to a standard set of commands. He might be more responsive to commands he already knows.

Heather - there is a strong local group monitoring the search / sightings (Lost Dogs Dumfries & Galloway).

PLEASE share - Angus, a black and white pointer dog, is missing from Creetown area following a tragic fatal accident on Saturday. Initially feared dead, Angus has spent two days in the area of Creetown but has moved east and has been spotted in the Cally Mains area of Gatehouse. We have since lost sight of him. It's not impossible he may turn back, or he could keep moving east - towards Borgue, Sandgreen, Kirkcudbright. He could even head inland towards Gatehouse.
Please everyone do your best and share this with anyone in these areas - or indeed to anyone using the A75. This boy has been through an horrific accident, is totally disorientated and completely spooked.

PLEASE DO NOT try and chase him but if you sight him immediately call his owner on 07775 928061 (if you can't get him call 07841340752).
He is VERY unlikely to come to you, although he will be tiring. We just need to know where he is so we can get ahead of him. Please help. Photo of Angus below - thank you for all of your help

Has anybody, or could somebody make Angus his own group please? It would help raise awareness and be easy to follow progress...just a thought. Fingers crossed for poor lad.
