They say this dog has a microchip and don't know whether he was a stray but the markings are very like Jumbo. Worth having a look

Thanks jeepsmi but the dog on the reunited page is not Jumbo. Jumbo's owner had already enquired about the found dog, he was definitely younger and I believe did not have any white on him. Thanks anyway. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

There is a similar dog on the reunited pages today, it says collected from Harlow police station. The colour is the same although the found dog is listed as 8 months. Tried to call owner but no reply, message left.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

ddbjumbo, thanks for registering and posting. Please if anyone reading this knows of Jumbo's whereabouts let the owner know. As she has said, she wants to know where Jumbo is and that he is safe and well. Due to various personal circumstances, there was a chance that Jumbo would have had to be rehomed, so if he is settled somewhere with a new family enjoying life, please do the right thing and put his owners mind at rest. Sue W & Doglady I am with you on this. Cant help thinking that the 'foster carer' isn't what they seem. Owner you must make sure that you flood the area as far and wide as possible with posters, especially around the foster carers home... Stay safe Jumbo.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The welfare group associated with the dog ARE fully involved in co-ordinating the attempts to locate him.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

SueW I agree with you I would think they would also like to know what has happened to Jumbo and may be able to talk to the foster and get some answers. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

If owner put dog through correct channels and home check done, the rehoming centre should surely be involved as they made the placement? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

At present very little is known about Jumbo's disappearance and where he could be. Due to personal circumstances Jumbo was placed in temporary foster care (all home checked and done via the correct routes) but Jumbo's owner recently has had difficulty in contacting foster carer and believes he may no longer be with her. Further details of location in Basildon will follow but foster carer is being less than helpful when owner tries to contact her and is not offering any reassurance that Jumbo is still with her. This, and other info, has led the owner to believe Jumbo may have been sold on etc. Please everyone keep a look out for ads in local press and on the internet sites, and poster where you can. We need to find this boy. Owner is going to contact the Police. She and others via other forums etc have circulated his poster to local vets.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
