It's so dreadful that you can no longer leave a dog outside at home while you have to go out, or leave one outside a shop - and it's all happened so fast! When I last had a dog - not that long ago! - you never had to think of such things.

Thankyou for the update & good to see that Freddie will be tagged & chipped. It's a sad fact that terriers & lurchers are unfortunately popular. He obviously didn't get free on his own but at least you have him back safe.

I have been having trouble emailing doglost to tell the story of my dog Freddie. He is listed as being reunited now, but the facts are that we left him chained up in the sun outside our door on the farm, we were out for a while and between 11.30-12.15 the dog was stolen, his collar taken off of him and left where he had been. He was found by a member of the public 10 miles away wandering round a car boot sale in the afternoon and taken to Salcey Forest Kennels, where he was returned to us. We are having him chipped and keeping him close to us now. Thank you for your help....up date from owner.

Freddie was handed into kennnels in Salcey Forest - About 2 miles from the village of Hanslope and reunited from there. Forest Lodge would be the closest kennels and also the one that the local dog wardens use. Welcome home Freddie and hope that you get a tag and a chip PDQ.
