after a few nights of video camera surveillance, and near misses with a trap (bad timing one night when I checked it as she came into the garden, and catching a badger in the trap another night) Willow was finally caught on Monday night, on her 3rd visit to the garden that day. I don't think she was too sad at being caught, and is now my permanent shadow. so much so that it is difficult to believe she could have ever run off in the first place. Nevertheless, I'm being extremely cautious, and all walks are going to be on a lead for some time yet. Thanks to all for advice, support and help. much appreciated. Now to get back to that bonding, where did I put the treats?

So pleased that Willow is almost home and will hopefully soon be safely caught in the trap. Just a waiting game now. Good luck!

set up cameras and scented the end of the garden with food on Friday night, and cameras caught Willow in the early hours of Saturday morning. she even stayed to play with her ball in the garden before slinking away. have a trap set for her now, but no luck in the last 2 nights. getting closer though

Great that there have been some sightings - sounds very promising.Good that she is staying in the area and hope you manage to catch her, she is lovely. Good luck.

there has been a very credible sighting of Willow today, about half a mile from where she vanished. and since then, I have also heard of a sighting yesterday, in the same area, by someone who didn't then know she was lost. I sat for 3 hours hoping she might return but no more sightings. I intend to return closer to dusk with food and water and hopefully she will come out
