So very pleased that both Fleur and Amie were returned to you - what a flaming nerve. Perhaps, whoever picked them up read the missing posters and saw that both these beauties were tagged and chipped. Welcome home girlies and no more running off from Mum!!!

It would help if i actually typed a message before posting!!! DOH!!! I can't even begin to imagine the anguish you have been through! How wonderful they are back home with you. I too have a whippet and she'd happily toddle off with anyone if they had a nice warm lap and tasty chicken to offer! Very very pleased for you! -) Welcome home ladies!!

I had just got in from doing a final trawl in the dark, about 9.15 when a large 4 x 4 slowed up and crawled past the house then sped off. 2 minutes later I heard the tags on their collars rattling and low and behold they were outside the house. Considering they had been gone well over 5 hours and were 3 hours past their tea time, I would have expected them to be thirsty, hungry, muddy and tired but no, they came in clean, not hungry and didn't even look at the water bowl. A friend out looking for them in her car passed this 4 x 4 four times in the space of a few minutes and assumed, as it was travelling back and forwards the same as she was, that it was someone else looking for the dogs. I strongly believe that this person had picked the girls up from the lane and for whatever reason kept them until they realised the whole neighbourhood was looking for them and returned them. I NEVER NEVER want to go through that again. I have gone through almost every emotion known to man from crying buckets at losing them to crying buckets on their return. am so pleased to report Fleur and Amie returned home under strange circumstances tonight. They are both well and happy. Thank you so much for your help. It was such a relief to talk to such a calm person in the middle of my turmoil.........e mail from owner. So pleased for you Debbie!
