May I say on behalf of A Better Life Dog Rescue, my sincere and heartfelt thanks to the amazing people at Doglost especially those in Cornwall - you all know who you are.
I am over th moon we have her back and that she is safe - all due to your incredible efforts and time.
My thanks must also go to her lovely foster Mum - who stepped into the breach and has taken her home - deepest thanks to you too.

Have added photo of Melo safe with fosterer :) She was quite chilled, but it no doubt tired after her escapade, she even managed a stretch & tail wag as I was leaving :)

Thanks GeoffA, I overslept this morning as had a busy day yesterday & woke up to a fantastic couple of texts from Andrea one of our helpers, to say she had been caught overnight in the trap.
Our lovely helper Mary, had offered to check the trap for us & her husband went this morning about 6am, to find Melo in there. Andrea & Mary managed to get 2 slip leads on her & also secure her harness (which was coming off) & got her safely out ( I had come away with the keys last night for the chain securing trap to fence!! oops). Anyway she is now safe in the hands of a fosterer while things are sorted out.

I will pop over later to see her & hopefully get a reunited photo :)

Fabulous news - Melo has been captured safely in the trap overnight - I will leave Max to update fully later.

There have been several sightings today & when we have shown pictures, they seem to think it is her. We have set a trap & it is being monitored. Hopefully she will be hungry enough to go in it. Posters have been given to people in the local holiday villages where she has been seen & local farm has some to put in the stables & campsite.

SimonH, no it probably doesn't, but we are in regular contact with them & people in the area where she has been sighted.

I have just seen a dog very similar to this one at Carbis Bay Holiday Park where I live. Also sighted several mornings this week by my husband. I haven’t had a close look but the dog is definitely wearing a black harness but has similar markings to those shown. It has since moved to an ajoining field. Appeared to be very nervous.

Melo was sighted 19/7 around the retail park in Penzance ( B&M Bargains, KFC) but went off into the scrubland area at the back.
It is hoped she will come looking for food & staff down there are aware of her.
I have also alerted a lady who takes in rescue dogs & is aware Melo is still missing.

The Chip number WILL come up on Halo scanners as it is on Pettrac. Melo is dual registered to both A Better Life Dog Rescue and to Rebecca.

Sadly the area where Melo is missing is vast open farmland/shrub land & an old mining area. Posters have gone out locally & I have suggested putting some further afield.
I will make contact with Carbis Bay Crew, to see if they are able to help in any way, likewise local drone guy Mark.

I have spoken to owner this afternoon & advised on action to take.
It seems Melo was very subdued & almost shell shocked on arrival, however, she has been able to scale a temporary barricade in the kitchen, get onto a worktop & manage to open a skylight window & get out :(

Melo is a Romanian dog that was only brought over to the U.K last weekend. She will be frightened and will probably go to ground and come out at dusk.
Her chip will be Romanian and will be registered to Arad Rescue or a A Better Life Dog Rescue.
