- Hi. A white Jack Russell with one tan ear was brought into St Giles Kennels at Wrantage by the Taunton Deane dog warden on April 4th. The picture can be seen here (ref TD001) http://www.stgileskennels.co.uk/lost-and-found_143_1.htm This dog is down on the paperwork as having no chip, but it is possible it may have been missed by the wardens (they've already missed one this week). I will be sending the picture to admin to be included in the found section later today. I think Spot may be more rough-coated than our found dog, but it's worth the owner checking out. Thanks, JulieLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- PS Poster all round Weston Village, Kelston, Swineford & Bitton + Upton Cheyney & Beach area to Bath racecourse as he could pop up anywhere in area if he came up wrong hole and there are a LOT of dogwalkers and horses in area so poster power could easily win again! I used to live in area and will try to get word out to a few old friends.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Lot of holes for terriers to go down in that area so keep patrolling and calling for him as could have lost his bearings. Maybe ferrets could help? Friend of mine lost one there years ago & dug up half the hillside looking for him. Come home safely Spot xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- So sorry to hear Spot is missing. First & foremost poster like mad print off 100+, poster everywhere so that everyone knows Spot is missing put posters up in Shops, Pubs, Scrap Yards outside Travellers Camps, Parks and hand out posters to dog walkers as well. To give them better protection against the weather, buy a bumper pack of the punched pockets (often the supermarkets do the best deals), put the posters in so that the opening is at the bottom (you can also seal the opening with waterproof, clear tape). Speak to the local postmen and visit your local sorting office and ask them to display a poster. Also try to 'collar' the local milkman and ask them to keep a poster of Spot to hand. Pubs are good places to target. Try to visit them early lunchtime or early in the evening when they tend to be less busy and ask the manager to display a poster of Spot. Speak to as many of the regulars/customers as possible as they will have plenty of good contacts and will be a mine of information. Display Spot's poster in your car(s) and ask family, friends, neighbours, other regular dog walkers and work colleagues to do the same. If you have access to the Internet, make sure you register (click here at the bottom of this page) and please post regular updates so that other Helpers in your area know where you have covered so that they can target other places. Click on the Info Centre opposite under Dolly?s Directive lots of info to get you started. I have contacted dog friendly person very near to you for help. Good luck x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
