Great coverage in todays cornish man- go to www.thisiscornwall.co.uk then cornishman from the top bar and enter Trooper into search engine and up he pops on page 3!

Fantastic news & so good to see another 'reunited' picture. Good teamwork yet again gets it's results. Nice to see he's getting a chip-hope he gets a tag to go with it. Sorry to say that extra security will probably be needed-unless they've learnt they can't hide from Doglost helpers.x

I have had the pleasure of meeting Trooper and his family this morning, and have just emailed admin with reunited photo. Trooper is battered and bruised, but in good spirits, and delighted to be home. He has a nasty injury on his lower lip where he has been badly bitten, and what looks like a wire cut on one back paw. He is one lucky dog! He's a fine looking fellow, and otherwise in great condition for his age! Chip is being organized for him, and for his owners two other dogs.

Well done to everyone, though it must send a shudder through others who have lost terriers. Poor little fellow, at least he escaped and made it home. do we have Rolo on the site btw, and the other collie lost locally also mentioned on the Cornish news site [link posted below]

Really great news to hear that Trooper is back home. Well done to Lurcherboys, ZZ, myboy1, dillondog AND finally to the lovely and kind people who found poor little shivering Trooper. Lots of thank you's here to everyone who played a part in reuniting this senior boy. Pleased to hear that Trooper is getting chipped but can this precious boy also have a nice, new shiney ID tag to wear on his collar at all times?! Just had a call from Eddie, Trooper's Dad, to say how grateful they are...just overwhelmed with the result, and thrilled to have their boy home. I have arranged to by tomorrow morning to take a reunited photo, and a print out of all the messages here, as they have no internet access.

The people that found him shivering and shaking in the lane did great - they took him in and made sure he went straight to a local vet, so Trooper definitely found the right rescuer!

Jayne, thanks for your call! This is great news. Just spoken to owner's son, they are over the moon, and stunned at the result. Had Trooper not been registered on DL, I doubt they would have seen him again When DL and helpers swing in to action there's no stopping us!! Trooper is a little sore but thrilled to be home, new tag and microchip coming up for this lad. WELCOME HOME TROOPER!

And especially well done to new helper ZZ who wrote an article about the need to use doglost and the internet for the Cornish paper which resulted in the owner of Trooper getting in touch with us and the site being able to reunite him with Trooper.

Looks as though Trooper has been used for badger baiting as covered in bites but very happy to see owner again who is going to get him MICROCHIPPED and has increased security at the kennels.

Have spoken to owner and arranged that they'll get pic scanned to disc tomorrow, and I'll collect from them and email to admin. Eddie went missing from hunt kennels in Madron. Gypsies were seen up the lane earlier in the day, and he was stolen overnight. Have suggested making contact with local traveller liason officer. Dog warden, police (has a crime number) and some vets already notified. As soon as we have photo on site we can do more - both locally and by email.

Owner has given the following description of Trooper: Brown and white, smooth coated, and wearing a red/blue tartan collar, no tag. He has a full tail, brown leading from the body to halfway down, the rest of the tail white. All four legs are white. His head is brown, with a white spot on top, and a white stripe running up from his nose. Have given him several options for getting a picture to the website.

Have left message on owner's ans machine offering help. Madron is five mins up the road from me. Owners have homemade posters out locally. Hope to hear back from them so I can post an update.
