Owner says he is certain who has his dog. Police are handling it just now. More info needs to be disclosed to the owner though for him to be satisfied as to how his dog became to be with this person.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Doglost is trying to get some local press coverage for dogs in the ML postcoode area where there are a lot of stolen dogs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner has spotted his dog in the street and the police have been informed. I had told the owner to check the area where his dog went missing, as owner had since moved. He did so, by chance, and he saw his dog with another man. This is all being checked out by police. He does not have a photo of the dog and has no internet access. I will keep this updated ASAP. Yes, I had look there but none of them are our dogs. I am starting to find it a bit suspicious that there are a lot of dogs from the ML area going missing.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Try the Edinburgh Cat and Dog Home, alot of brindle staffies in there tho' none seem to match. Might be worth owner having a look.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have given the owner all the numbers of Dog wardens who may have details of his dog, but it could be anywhere now as a lot of time has passed before he contacted Doglost and was given info on how to search for this lovely dog. He has also moved home which may not be too helpful either, but I will do my best to help.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OWNER< Posters need to be put up in the area on lamposts, entrances to parks and strategic places in parks, vets, petshops, carry-out food shops, local shops, supermarkets, community centres, schools, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins). Ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus. Deliver flyers to houses & pop through letterbox. Hand out flyers to people in the street, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Rescue centres, and police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows the dog, because your dog?s breed may not be recognised by other people. Also police are sometimes too busy to do much about it. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast her as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of her. In the case where she may have been stolen, make her too hot for thieves too handle. Best wishes and good luck. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
