Brilliant. Thanks to Grantown Dog Rescue for all they did, and everyone else who has helped to get these two back where they belong. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great to hear Kat has been reunited with her owners. Once she is back with her family she will soon be back to her old self. Just hope the people who stole these lovely dogs get the just desserts.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Fantastic news! Lets hope Kat soon forgets about all the traumatic things she has been through. The sooner life goes back to normal for her the better.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Kat has gone home! Grantown Dog Rescue got the emailed poster and we recognised her, as she was in our foster care, so we phoned the number and she was collected last night! A very happy ending. She was picked up at Dalwinnie, with the Cairn - Rory and had been being looked after in Kennels, before we at the Rescue got her. She was in a very bad way, very traumatised with hair loss and very thin. But was slowly coming back and thankfully has not been rehomed. We will never know what she has been through, but now she is home she can start to mend. The Cairn had been rehomed before we got involved and our heart goes out to the lady that took him on, but we are sure they will appreciate that he belongs to his owners and will be going home. Well done DogLost, you made it happen.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi to Kats owner, Angela at Pitlochry Pet Supplies here please try and get a photo up on this A.S.A.P and I will print it out and start to display them for you around the area have been thinking of Kat and your cairn dog and hoped you would put them on here, anything else I can do to help let me know, you know where I am. Take Care P S The idea of display pics in cars is a good one Ive put Timbi and Billy in my car and its amazing how many people read it when they pass the car will put Kat in too once poster complete.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I agree with Granitecitygirl. I live in Monifieth, in between Dundee and Arbroath/Carnoustie etc. Will be more than happy to put up poster's around here, as well as the local Vet etcLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I Think these are 2 definate dogs to go in Countrymans weekly as the readership will probably be able to identify these people for us.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

The number plate given was belonging to acar and not a van. When we have more info we will put on website to track where thevan has been.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is this white van also selling generators by any chance??? I have had several reports of a van in Aberdeenshire selling washing machines and generators door-to-door in March. The van has checked out ok and is linked to travellers. The goods on the van are NOT STOLEN I have to stress. I would send posters further afield than Perthshire, such as Dundee, Angus and Aberdeenshire if possible. I don't know who the local dog wardens are, but if she was picked up by these folk then I would try travellers sights up the East Coast.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I know that Dalnaspidal is a remote area but:OWNER< Posters need to be put up in the area in strategic places in, vets, petshops, carry-out food shops, local shops, supermarkets, community centres, schools, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins). Ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus. Deliver flyers to houses & pop through letterbox. Hand out flyers to people especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Rescue centres, and police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows the dog, because your dog?s breed may not be recognised by other people. Also police are sometimes too busy to do much about it. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast her as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of them. In the case where they may have been stolen, make them too hot for thieves too handle. Good luck. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
