Fabulous news.. Elated for owners. Stay very close now Elphaba:-)xxx
She may have climbed into a vehicle, which could account why she was found quite a long way from home. And well done that gent who had her scanned. It just shows how IMPORTANT it is to have pets MICROCHIPPED. I would keep Elphaba in for a week to ten day at least now, or she may go awol again. All smiles here:-) :-) :-)

House cats who "Escape" will feel very anxious being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes, with people they trust: their owners. They usually hide , and close by too, as a rule. A door she has access to. open wide, and stand aside. (Don`t block her entrance, or she may see it a "Threat", and run off) Put some tuna, or chicken in her dish, and place it about twice the width of the open door. Rattle some treats too, such as Dreamies. Place her UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave it about 2 metres from the open door. Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses etc. THOROUGHLY, as some cats will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. She may be having a little adventure in someone`s garden. Ask around, especially those with children, as they can be very observant. If all else fails, you could borrow cat trap form an animal rescue centre, or Cat Protection (For a small donation, I think) Place inside an object with her scent on: your scent too. And place it near the door. I would refrain from putting food in at this stage, because of other cats etc. They will show you how to use it. . If you see her approaching, just act as though her going awol, hasn`t been an issue, or she may do a runner. Paws xd.
