Aaliyah is home. Thank you kind people. She is sporting a rather nice new tag and will be microchipped on our return to London. 2 very kind women looked after her. This high lights the importance of adverts placed in police stations. Police stations are often the first port of call for a member of the public finding a lost dog. The police report taken over the phone is of no use. The information does not get to the person who needs it and the police are not really interested. They say it is the dog wardens job. The officer behind the front desk had Aaliyahs photo so when the lady came in to enquire about any lost dogs reported the officer was able to show Aaliyahs photo......e mail from owner. I've had a naughty pointer for fifteen years, so don't take your eyes off of her, they just love to roam on their own.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I had a phone call yesterday from Peckham police stn saying that a lady had found Aaliyah. The lady was in the police stn and she spoke to me. She said she found Aaliyah running accross the Walworth road. She is going to bring Aaliyah to the police stn today at 2.00. I had a few nasty calls this morning, which I can only assume are from children so I won't assume the best until I actually get Aaliyah back. I'll keep you posted...e mail from owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

hope you got the photo. Initially we sent it to the wrong e mail address. We have put posters in the Camberwell and Peckham area. The community wardens are e mailing Aaliyahs pic to all wardens in Southwark. The police have been alerted and the dog wardens are aware. I went to Battersea today but it was closed so I was only able to leave a photo. I have called the RSPCA and local animal charities, as well as local vets. Tomorrow we are going to North Wales for a one week holiday. Aaliyah was supposed to come too. We are still contactable by the mobile number. We can also recieve calls via the people who own the holiday cottage. The number is 01286 660 336. If Aaliyah turns up we have friends on stand by in London to recieve her and friends who will continue to search the area for us. Thanks for your help. It is a relief to read such a lot of success stories and lovely to know so many people care......message from owner. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
