House cats who "Escaple" like this they will usually feel very anxious, being out of their comfort zone which is in their own homes with people they trust; their owners. And they tend to hide close by. A door he has access to, open wide, and stand aside (Don`t block his entrance, or he ay see it as a "Threat" and run away again. Put some tuna, or chicken in his dish, and place it about twice the width of Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container along with your scent on too. Leave it about 2 metres from the open door. Ask neighbours to check their outbuildings. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too If you seem him approaching the door, act as though him going awol hasn`t been an issue,. or he may be off again. (No eye to eye contact).
