Not been on for a few days and I am so so sorry you have lost dear sweet Rocky. I have a boxer and I can only imagine how devastated you are..........the pain will ease with time and you will be able to laugh again at all the antics Rocky got up to and all the joy he brought you! Hi darling, i just wanted to put a message on here to say again how sorry we are, we both wish it could have been a happier ending for you all. I know your hurting so much right now, but please remember the good times, the cheeky times and the naughty times, all boxers have them!! Like we said yesterday if you ever need to talk or anything at all please dont hesitate to call us or contact us. We are here for you. Im sorry we are so far away and couldnt have helped you more. Man's Best Friend You took him in when he was small. Gave him a home, your love, your all. A happy life with you he shared. We all could see how much you cared. You gave to him your very best. I am so sorry to read that Rocky was not reunited in happier circumstances. You must be devasted but please take some comfort from knowing where he is & that he was on a special day. Sometimes the same as when we lose a person we love we ask 'why' we never find the answers but find comfort in knowing we gave them as much happiness as we could. You will in time be able to smile again.x

I stood by your bed last night I came to have a peep. I could see that you were crying you found it hard to sleep. I whined to you softly as you brushed away a tear, "It's me, I haven't left you, I'm well, I'm fine, and I?m here. I was close to you at breakfast, I watched you pour the tea, you were thinking of the many times, your hands reached down to me. I was with you at the shops today your arms were getting sore I longed to take your parcels I wish I could do more. I was with you at my grave today you tend it with such care. I want to re-assure you, that I'm not lying there. I walked with you towards the house, as you fumbled for your key. I gently put my paw on you I smiled and said, "It?s me." You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was standing there. It's possible for me, to be so near you everyday. To say to you with certainty, "I never went away." You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you. The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say "good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning."And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide, I?ll rush across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side. I have so many things to show you, there is so much for you to see. Be patient, live your journey out...then come home to be with me.-

Today we received the news that we'd all been dreading. Rocky was found washed up onto Pembrey Beach. The whole family are absolutely devastated. Rocky meant the world to us all and we'd like to thank everyone for the kindness they've shown over the last few days, particularly on this site and also the people who we've met and who were so willing to help us. Theres no words todescribe how we feel right now and the memories we have with rocky will live in our hearts forever. Thanks again to you all.

Hi I had a boxer stolen 2 years ago from Pembrey. I found her in kennels in Pembroke dock. I had placed an ad in the free ads and someone phoned me on the off chance. I also went around all the post offices and sorting offices with posters. Postmen get everywhere and know were all the dogs are! Good luck.

Owner, sorry to hear that Rocky is missing. There is a big race meeting this weekend at Pembury Race Circuit. Might be a good idea to hand out small flyers. You must keep ringing all shelters etc every day. Make sure that you poster all over Burry Port and surrounding areas. Am in Llandeilo area so will keep a look out for your boy.

Still no news or sightings of Rocky. We have posters all around the local area. We've called all the dog wardens / council departments in wales & All the dog pounds they use We've called all vets in Carmarthenshire, Swansea, Pembrokeshire We have adverts in Evening Post, Llanelli Star & Western Mail We've had it advertised on radio stations in the area. Does any one have any more suggestions which we could try? Thanks Again

owner, good to have you on board, you can use the forum, as you already have done, to share information and to keep us updated on what you have done. postering is good,. i am assuming you have checked with the dog warden as it was out of office hours over the weekend and there is a chance he could have been in kennels all weekend? We'd like to add more details to this add, any idea how - is it only by ringing the number we can do this? Rocky Dissappeared while I was walking on Pembrey beach (Burry Port end, approximately entrance H) on Friday evening at 7pm. We have been out all weekend looking for him in the area and the area is covered with posters. There is a ?500 reward for Rocky's safe return as he means everything to all of our family. Rocky is a very people-orientated dog and would have approached anyone after he realised he could not see us. The most worrying thing is that we have asked so many people and it seems that no one has seen any sign of him. He has recently ben castrated and still has stitches in which were due to be removed on Saturday which is another worry. Any advice would be very much appreciated. Thanks

I've just spoken to the owner, they've been on pembrey all weekend and put posters everywhere but it doesn't have a picture of him. He's coming on line to send a pic. One thing he did tell me was one thing that might set him apart he has a LONG TAIL NOT DOCKED.

Local sanctuaries Lizzie's Barn and Trallwm Farm have been informed. Text sent to Lizzie's, haven't hear back yet. Trallwm will help to put word around horse people as there are sponsored rides and similar activities there. I just spoke to Haverfordwest area pound in case someone hands him in there on Monday. People come from quite a distance to enjoy a day out at Pembrey, so anyone who picked Rocky up could have come from Pembs, Swansea etc. It could have been too late to find a pound or warden to deal with him before the weekend, and if he is handed in tomorrow it may well be to a pound other than the local one nr Ammanford.
