Great news, even with doggy dementia the old boy has still got some sense left to stay safe and look after himself. So pleased he’s safely home. Stay close and safe now Barney.

I have been liaising with owner this evening & thankfully he has just phoned me to let me know Barney has been caught & is ok. He had been spotted today around 3.30pm on a track near a maize field, but ran off.
Owner went down there with food & managed to catch him :)

We have had a male Labrador handed in to us as 'found'. He is castrated and wearing a brown collar.

If anyone recognises him please get in touch on 01743 465554. Thanks. Shewsbury Pet Hospitalx

Is there anywhere near his home that he may have got shut in? Neighbours sheds, garages etc? Or neighbours away on holiday. Labs often love water - have all nearby ponds, streams & rivers been checked? There are roads & a railway nearby are Network Rail & Highways department aware of Barney?

These tracker dogs are nearby but may need a more recent sighting.

It might be worth contacting them and if they can help get an item with Barney's scent on preserved and ready in case you get a fresh sighting.

Stay safe lovely old boy.

I have rung owner Ian & advised further. He seems to be doing everything he can to find him.
The only positive sighting was Tuesday 14th in a nearby field.
There was a possible sighting a mile away in a farmers field on Saturday 18th. Owner did a BBQ but nothing.

Barney has been circulated on Fb & owner has been given advice, but will email general advice info. I understand Barney has some memory loss.
