Hey Robin good to have you on board. Hope not too many going missing your way, but who knows. Supporting others on here just by leaving the odd message when you can is also very welcome, even if you can't do much to help directly. You will automatically receive emails when a dog local to you is missing. Don't print the poster that comes through the email as it will contain your email details, but come to the web site and print one off from the dogs page. Hope Polly is now recovered from her adventure and sitting close to you always. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

P.S. Polly now has a new name tag and will be getting chipped asap, just in case! Incidentally the callsign? robin2dogs has actually been my nickname for many years. RobinLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

at last I've figured out how to post(my stupidity). Anyway..... Wonderful news - Polly is now home safe and well. She had been at a vet in Hounslow going since missing and was only taken to Hounslow dog warden yesterday, who then phoned me. The very nice lady there had her sitting on her coat! in the office. Many thanks for all your help and support especially "Riverlady" who was fantastic and SueW of course. If I can be of help to anyone else please don't hesitate to get in touch. With my best Regards Robin Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Think it was teamwork that did it. It would break my heart if one of my dogs went missing. I'd have to be sedated coz I would be hysterical and I wouldnt wish the trauma on anyone. Well done team and thanx for being there when we needed it xx sniffs + snugs from Buffy + Bonzo xx ( 2 staffy crosses that love people + dogs)Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Not confirmed it was my email but thanks anyhow. I think the main thanks and my personal thanks needs to go to Riverlady, and owner of course for getting out there and postering. Riverlady, you may not have wheels but you sure do travel and owners should know just how much. Spoken to owner who is one happy chappie along with the locals who have missed Polly at the pub. If any looking in please register and help us with others o) Stay safe now Polly. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Puts me in the pink to turn this one blue!! LOL Welcome home POLLY. shame the vets did not report her a bit quicker to the DW. At least she is back home where she belongs. I hope she will be getting a tag and chip as a welcome home present. CJLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Good news Polly has been found!!! She was in a vets in Hounslow for a week then they reported her to the Dog Warden......who thankfully had been emailed by SueW and they rang Robin. He has her in his arms right now. A very happy man......and he will register as a helper and help others. Phew what a sigh of relief. Little Polly deserved to be back.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have been with owner, Robin and we have postered where suggested plus given some to local vets. Robin is going to do some more for the police station as it was an off duty policeman that found Shamus. Also asked the nurses at Andre's to get on line and they say they are working on it. Stay safe Polly dad is looking for you xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Riverlady thank you for the call earlier. I have spoken at length to owner who is doing the right things. He is also going to try and log onto site. Have suggested posters start being put up along the Brentford side and Strand on the Green. I am concerned as the couple were in a car who found her. Therefore the main routes to Kew need postering roadside so oncoming traffic can see them. It could be a regular place for this couple to drive to or visit to walk their own dog, described as small also. In case there is a misunderstanding with councils already approached, I have emailed them all. Richmond, Hounslow & Ealing all done. Owner has my number in case of any calls or ransom demands. Local vet in in Kew Road, so if they drove that way it leads along to Clifford Avenue and Paines corner. Lots of places along there to poster. Thanks for all you help and support to owner Riverlady, you are our local ears and eyes just now. Any helpers in and around Richmond, Chiswick, Brentford, Mortlake and even as far as Twickenham please help this man. He is heartbroken and had to compose himself several times during our call. I know you will all do what you can. Is our Sandobes still onsite? You are a godsend with local organisations for emailing and faxing. Stay safe Polly, your precious time with your owner is being deprived just now. Lets hope we here something very soon, usually posters help as we know. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner is doing everything he can. He has been to Richmond Police station to report it as theft......the police werent interested but a comminity police PCSO took details and gave a crime ref. Battersea was shut due to a pavro infection. He has rang all the dog wardens bordering the area but as soon as he gave his postcode they couldnt put it in. Its all a bit chaotic with new systems. Ive emailed poster to local paper and hope they do something. Am emailing all PCSO teams. Owner is very upset and missing Polly dreadfully.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I hope Polly is found very quickly! It may be worth contacting the owners of Prince (also a Shih Tzu cross) who went missing not far from Richmond in Isleworth. Maybe they could cross poster for each other. Good luck and hope that Polly is 'in-the-blue section' very soon.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to owner , was going to walk to Kew and search by river but it seems a couple with a dog found her , was given directions to local vets Andre but never turned up there. Polly is registered at Andres so they would have recognised her. Andre is not on line. Owner just checked with Battersea and Putney Animal Hospital. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
