Have spoken to Kizzy's owners and she has been sighted again this morning on the golf course where she was yesterday. I have offered the use of my trap if she is staying in the same area. They are out there now trying to catch her but she is very frightened. MandyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Great for the owners to have all this help, thanks everyone! Good to see there has been some sightings . If Kizzy's owner can just log & map where these sightings were, then usually a pattern can form which can be a help in where to do some scenting & food luring. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Do you know if they have contacted BinField Dog rescue? Binfield Dog Rescue Maidenhead Road (Carters Hill, Binfield) Billingbear Wokingham Near Reading Berkshire RG40 5RR UK Also, my dog walker said that the posters I put up have come down so I will do some more for Simon's Woods. Is owner proactively putting up posters? Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Several Vallhund owners emailed, and Kizzy's details will be put in the breed notes in Our Dogs and Dog World next week (but hopefully she will be back home before then).Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I've put a poster up at the bottom of Edgecumbe Park (by the post box) where lots of people will see it. Also checked at Ambarrow every day while walking my dogs, and along the railway line where I can see. If she ran up Dukes Ride into the village, someone may well have picked her up. Have the owners tried Diana Brimblecombe rescue centre?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Owner please make sure someone visits rescue centres etc that knows Kizzy, because she not that common she made be listed as another breed or cross breed and she may then slip throught the net. Hope she is home soon. Stay safe Kizzy. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

This is a breed I own. If there is a problem getting a picture of a vallhund with a tail I can help provide one. We often have people asking us if they're husky puppies, corgi crosses etc. Really sorry that I'm not near enough to help. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

My walk tomorrow which was going ot be in Ascot has been cancelled so we will be walking around Simon's Woods or Finchhamstead Ridges. I live in Crowthorne too so can help in putting posters up. If someone could email me some posters I will put them up. Can only do Black and White. Also, as well as the train line and Wellington College there is also Wellington Business Park and also, if she goes that way and swerves off she could end up at Ambarrow Court - worht putting posters up there too and at the parade of shops opposite the business park. Duke's Pharmacy I know for one would allow a poster up and lots of people use the chemist. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

It would also be useful if rescues et al could be informed that this particular breed could be mistaken for a corgi or corgi cross! So many missing dogs slip through the system because of mistaken identity.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have forwarded this to the German Spitz list, some GS owners in that area & one Vallhund breeder on the list too. KatiaLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Don't forget Wellington College. Their land is just the other side of the roundabout. There are a lot of large properties with land along Wellingtonia Avenue so it would be worth putting a poster through each letterbox. Also, doesn't the railway line go through Crowthorne around there?Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hi Hope she is found ASAP. I walk my weims down that way and have also posted for others to look out on other forums. Come home safe Kizzy. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
Rosie and Boots' Mum
I have just spoken with the owner- Kizzy went missing from their farm (50 acres) on Wellingtonia Avenue and was last seen heading for the roundabout (Crowthorne direction). Owner has been out calling all day today but no joy so far. I am off out with my children this afternoon and will poster at Mill Pond in Bracknell but really need posters at Simons Wood, the Ridges area and then I guess Heathlake and Ambarrow to let as many dog walkers know as possible - can anyone help with this today? any other suggestions? If not, I will try to get out tomorrow. Owner is trying to get a photo of Kizzy's mum but will not have internet access for some time. Has contacted Bracknell and Wokingham DWs.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Is there any further info on where in Crowthorne Kizzy went missing? Owner, if not already done so, please ensure you notify Wokingham and Bracknell dog wardens and Surrey might also be a good idea as close by, depending on where she went missing. Don't have my car for a couple of days so can't get over to help search. Hope owner registers asap so that details on what has already been done can be posted.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
