- I'll ask the regular walkers to keep an eye open and if this cat is hanging around I will contact cats protection as I don't walk there every day.

- LindaT If the cat is still local, I would borrow a cat trap from a rescue centre, or your local Cat Protection, and they will check the cat for a microchip, and gender. If unneutered, he may have travelled far seeking a mate, and became disorientated, and, confused, as you have said. Keep us posted.Last edited: 2018-08-29 08:03:17

- I saw this cat around 8.45 am, on the cycle track about 300 yards from the entrance end of the fort, with the fort on my left and Halton down through the trees on my right. He/she came running up to me, seemed a bit confused although friendly and fairly healthy. Quite small. He/she then trotted off after a few minutes towards picket piece end of Hale Lane although may have gone into the rough scrub on either side. I don`t think it is a feral cat, seemed glad to see me! No collar. I`ve never seen a cat up there before and was a bit concerned as there are always lots of dogs running freely.
