So pleased to hear Oscar is safely home again. Glad the id is being implimented, its not worth the risk of your dog being found and rehomed because of no id. Stay safe now Oscar. Sue xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Oscar is home safe and sound - thank you to everyone for you help. Apparently he was picked up by Forestry Commission & taken to kennels last Thursday (the day he went missing) & even though we contacted Dog Warden's in EHDC and Waverley - they missed him and eventually the EHDC dog warden came across him on this website! - I called them again a couple of days ago to check and they said they had not had a terrier in!! so thank goodness for this site. He was found sitting on a towell! in the woods - which leads me to believe that he was taken away by the owner of the black dog and cleaned up and put back - which was nice of them - so the training continues and he will be micro-chipped asap. Now we need to set off and take down all the posters - thank you all so much for your help and support. KathyLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Hello, so sorry to say that I found no sign of him.. Have you called local vets ect? you can always ask if anyone with a large black dog came in for medical attention, if you explain the situation they should be willing to help you. I have a terrier, they are hardy little guys! Don't lose hope! Will try to go out again tonight. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

We walk in Alice Holt most afternoons so will keep an eye and ear out - has owner put up poster at all car parks (i.e. Rowledge). Hoping Oscar is found safe and sound. Will also keep an eye out for large black dog and owner.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Thanks Laurence - he ran off last Thursday 10th April around 8.30 - 9 am up near the cross roads - where the tarmac path from the Forestry Commission Research station (Alice Holt Forest - backing onto Bucks Horn Oak) goes down the hill to Bentley Station. He ran off after large black dog - and some people heard a fight (which probably involved Oscar) and he has not been seen since. He may be hurt and have gone to ground - although we have searched high & low since last Thursday - but thank you for your offer of help. I fear he was badly hurt and disposed of by owner of large black dog! Any news regarding who this person might be would be welcome - we just want to know what happened.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I live near that area, am at work now and not able to go out, but will go out for a walk with my bobby tonight to see if I can tempt him out. That wood is rather big, any specific area he ran off? near the parking or so for example? Also when my bobs went missing I looked in and around houses and garages as I knew he would hide if scared, perhaps that is also something you should look out for. Hope you find him soon!
