- Glad to see Dixie is home & loving & being loved by her family once again Xxx
Feel so sad for her & others that are stolen (as she was due to her being chipped) by 'people' we see often in our communities passing through.
Thanks to the Police on this happy occasion. Last edited: 2019-08-10 11:10:46 by Reynard - 2019-08-09 08:17 Skywalker99
- Just seen the reunited video on Twitter, one very happy dog and owner! Have also just read that the (expletive deleted) that took her removed half her tail. Poor Dixie.Last edited: 2019-08-09 08:51:01 by Skywalker99

- I tried and tried ever since I first saw the ad. had a email reply which reads...
Dragon Driving is a classified adverts website so we do not play any part in the sale so do not know who the dog was sold to.
If your friend asks the police to contact us with a Data Protection release form we will give them all the details that we have on the advertiser. Your friend will need to give the police enough details unique to the advert for us to be able to find the advert again. Ideally this would be the phone number on the advert but could be a screenshot that includes the text.
Regards,
Nikki

- called again and got through. said she has been sold couldnt get any more info but offered me another black and white cocker said she's 3 years old and very special. very obviously a traveller as the way he spoke. Said I would call back once spoken to my husband. There is going to be no way of finding out who the dog was sold to. I have emailed the main people to do with the site to say I think it may of been a stolen dog and I want to find out who she went to but i know i won't get any luck. any ideas?
- 2019-01-10 14:31 Debbie123
- Call from another number or get somebody else to call - don’t mention the fact u think it may b your stolen dog they may then dump her or get rid of her quick personally I would just act like a buyer Last edited: 2019-01-10 14:33:24 by Debbie123

- There is a black and white spaniel found today in Crawley, I am not sure the markings match but the dog has longer hair so thought I would flag just in case, it also says not chipped but I don't always trust that it is showing on fb page Lost, Found and Stolen Dogs in Crawley and Surrounding Areas.

- Hi Kym, sorry to hear this, please can you email us at stolen@doglost.co.uk other owners have been targeted with sane details, please email us the police incident number & if you are happy to be put in touch with other affected owners x

- so some vile piece of scum last night messaged to say they had Dixie and if they received £50 upfront they would tie her up somewhere nearby for her collection. They said they were travellers. Being a 50% chance of getting Dixie back seemed worth the £50 so it was paid. The name on the account was S.Hubbard. The mobile number was tracked to the traveller site at the bottom of Mill Road. Once money was paid phone was switched off and that was that. You have got to be sick in the head to do this to a person and we will be pushing the police to deal with this. Please everyone keep sharing and keep their eyes peeled when in that area and also be careful if you ever receive these messages yourselves.

- owner leaves tomorrow at 5am for a week. needed more posters as there was a possible sighting at the back of all saints church in west dean last Wednesday so needed to plaster that area but she hasn't managed to drop any off. not sure on next approach now. I have put her on so many sites all over and has all been shared all over the country now. owner knows someone from more radio and said she was sorting something regarding things to read out on there but don't think she got round to it. anyone have any ideas or advice for me?

- Agreed you can’t do it on your own Kym.. It’s been over 2 weeks now since she has been missing and it such a large area to cover and there has been no sightings.. It’s a possibility she has been picked up by someone and she could be anywhere... need to get her too hot to handle on social media and on some of the dog lost sites around the country.. maybe the owner could approach Meridian news.. just a thought.. well done for trying ..

- that's such a shame we missed you. we went left of the paragon field and up through the woodland so the cemetery was behind us. The owner was due to be there she arrived later and found out the first sighting wasn't actually Dixie so we were looking in the wrong direction anyway. I am going to continue over the weekend but the owner is going on holiday on Sunday or Monday and I'm willing to carry on if she gets out with us and helps. I can't be in all the possible areas at the same time so it's pretty impossible for me to find her if she's out there wothout a sighting. Thank you zoe really appreciate it

- We were just in the entrance of the field.. I don’t do Facebook and only read the instructions from doglost therefore did not know who was going to be there. You must have walked right by us. Better luck next time and obviously need to cover a different area maybe now that we are aware of where Dixie went missing from etc. Thanks

- Please note I made the page but I am not the owner. I arrived at the address and post code given and parked in the entrance of the road as it's a dead end in a blue kangoo at 5.45 could see cars going in the road but I believe they must of gone in the houses as noone was waiting outside. I waited till 6.15 then started the search. I'm really sorry we somehow missed you. may be you went into the field to wait and we were on the road? I'm not sure but reallt sorry about that. The owner arrived later on and I asked her to read me out the exact messages from the first sighting at farmlands way and after hearing them it seems the dog wasn't Dixie and owner then told me Dixie had ran right out of her house heading towards main road that leads to wannock woods so I believe we have been wasting our time in the wrong direction! we are now focusing more on folkington, jevington, cophall etc. I will arrange another meet but be in a easier location to stop and confusion. thank you

- Thanks you so much for making the effort Dee. I'm not sure what happened re the meet up as owner had put on Facebook that there was only her and another lady had turned up...what a pity as five of you would have covered quite a bit of ground. I am going to try to go early tomorrow morning but will need to take my dog as will need to tie it in with walking her at the same time.
- 2018-09-13 18:31 Dee Poole
- Myself and 2 other ladies went to Paragon as requested but there was no one there to meet us.. I assume the Owner was meant to be there.. waited half hour but have now left as no show. I have just been to speak to owners as live up road from me and are going up there. That was about 6.35pm. It will be getting dark soon though. If another search is organised might be able to help but depends when Last edited: 2018-09-13 19:37:24 by Dee Poole

- There has been no news on Dixie since she went missing:-( It seems that the Butts Brow sighting was quite probably another dog. Dixies owner has organised a search for 6pm tonight if there is anyone that is able to go and help? Unfortunately, it is my husbands birthday today so we are out tonight so i can't make it :-(
***HELP APPRECIATED PLANNED SEARCH***
Paragon fields Wannock Gardens, Polegate BN26 5PA - today 6pm (13th September)
Due to the vast areas and woodland Dixie could of got to we are going to do a thorough search from the only positive sighting where she was first seen. We really need to get Dixie home to her family and any help would be extremely appreciated. To keep the scents as minimum as possible in case a search dog is available we ask for no dogs on the search. If anyone is available to help please let me know or just turn up. We will be starting here and working our way out so will be covering large areas fields and woodland so please br prepared.
Thank you to everyone for all your sharing and positive comments it means alot! Hopefully see you tomorrow xxLast edited: 2018-09-13 09:12:18 by Zoe - Area Volunteer - East Sussex - 2018-09-09 09:56 bullysu
- A comment received on Lost and found pets SEAFORD Eastbourne and surrounding on fb regarding the sighting at BUTTS brow;
I believe the sighting was another spaniel as I saw a dog walker who said a spaniel she was walking went off for a hour and was waiting near the car park for her as didn't want to go through ratton woods. sighting was around 10am and the dog walker got to the car park around then and found her.

- Posters were put up on 7th and they were handing out flyers too, owner was going back early eve so sad poor little girl

- I spent an hour up at Butts Brow this afternoon. I walked alone the top part of the wooded area...covered quite a lot of ground but didn't see anything. Unfortunately, the wooded areas are much more overgrown than I ever remember them being which made it really hard to search. There is a good chance that the sighting was Dixie as it's really not that far from Polegate (although am unsure which part of Polegate she is missing from?). My advice would be to get a few posters displayed up there as there are so many dog walkers just in case it was her. It might be worth owner going back up there at the time she was spotted yesterday. My friends husband walks up there at dawn every morning so will be keeping an eye open.

- I have notified my friend who walks her dogs up at Butts Brow every day. Have any posters been displayed up there? There are so many dog walkers up there on a daily basis, someone must have seen something. I've got a couple of jobs to do this afternoon but I'll try to get up there sometime this afternoon just for a scout about as I know that area quite well. X

- Met owner on Butts Brow today and hopefully she was spotted there yesterday by the woods just beyond the car park if heading towards the golf course, if spotted please contact the owner immediately
