- Sorry that Morpheus has had to have his leg amputated, but, am sure he will cope on 3 legs, as animals do. He will probably be a little clingy now. If it was an incident with a vehicle, Morpheus will keep away from roads, and cars alike. I would imagine A friends cat was once injured in a rta, but then kept well away from both cars, and roads. If it was a snare, is it a legal one on I wonder?. As another pet may be injured... Sending Morpheus lots of tlc,. and gentle (((HUGS))) I would imagine he won`t go too far from the garden now.

- Unfortunately his leg was so badly broken it had to be amputated but he is home with me now settled and having lots of love! It was a suspected snare that did the damage but we don’t know for sure xx

- Great news. So pleased Morpheus has been reunited. Sorry he has a suspected broken leg (Been there. done that), Wishing Morpheus good wishes for his full recovery. GET WELL SOON Morpheus (Gentle HUG) x Sure he will get lots of tlc. Also even when his leg heals, I would keep him in overnight,
(Maybe you do) especially as he is black, as cars can`t see them. And contrary to popular belief cats can`t see any more than we can in total darkness (I used to think they could, but it`s a fallacy) they can however see better than humans in semi-darkness. Stay close now Morpheus:-)xxxLast edited: 2018-09-13 16:16:34 - 2018-09-13 15:21 JEAN

- Another reason why a cat may go missing, is if they have climbed into a vehicle, in which case, consider posting a LOST CAT ad in a National newspaper, which isn`t uncommon for cats to do apparently. Paws, and fingers xd for Morpheus`s safre return.

- As Morpheus is a nervous cat, my best guess would be that he may be shut in somewhere. Check ALL outbuildings, including empty houses, and cellars, THOROUGHLY, as some cats will hide in, or behind an object within, especially if timid, Check behind hedges/bushes too, in case unwell. Empty contents of the hoover on to the garden, as his scent will be there. Put some tuna, or chicken in his dish, and call him; night/early morning is best. Rattle some treats too. Place his UNWASHED blanket into a clean container, along with your scent too. Leave in the garden in a sheltered spot, or hang on the washing line if dry; used towels too. Wipe his scent on garden fences, gates, doors too; anything leading up to the garden. Try a squeaky toy, as it may attract his attention. Walk round the area, holding an object with his scent o, and rattle some Dreamies. Someone may be feeding him., (Common problem). When it`s nightfall, and you are searching, use a strong torch, as the light will reflect a cats eyes. Poster around the area, and post flyers through doors too. Ask around, especially those with young children, as they can be very observant. Is there a dominant cat in the area? as sometimes they will chase a cat out of it`s own territory, however the cat usually returns within a few days when they think it`s "Safe" enough for them to do so, although sometimes they can become lost, and disorientated. When you are looking for him, use the same deodorant, you use on a day to day basis, as he will recognize the scent and your the one he trusts, or/and take with you an Air Freshener, which you use regularly, as the scent should remind him of his home comforts. And, as a rule neutered cats don`t tend to wander too far, on average, especially if timid. Hope Morpheus is home very soon. Paws xd.Last edited: 2018-09-13 12:22:53
