- Thank you Helen .
Let's hope So.
Perhaps the Owners are unaware of All the Social Media Missimg/Found Pets pages/groups & DoglostUK etc. & how to report a Lost Dog.
I truly hope that He has not been abandoned .🙏🐾

- I have been in contact with the finder of the "found" Benny and he has told me that the dog is registered locally with a vets so hopefully the owner will be able to be traced via the vets.

- Thankyou Helen. I had thought about asking to join the Cromer Group, but decided it would be best left to Doglost Admin/volunteers as you have all the Contacts & emails etc. for this case.
I could have direct messaged the Finder's friend, who unfortunately has not got a public post on his Facebook timeline for me to comment, but people do not always see 'other messages' do they ? &, as you say, time is of the essence.
either way, if the Found dog is Not this Benny - there needs to be wider publicity ?. registered on here.
All paws xxd 🙏🐾
Another thought,
Even If it was a human error by the 'chip.company, to have inputted a Correct Tel. No., surely they would have An Address to be Visited/written to by the Dog Wardens ?
Has everything possible been done to Locate Benny's Family ?
The Finder/his friend are Not Legally allowed to Keep Him until after 7 days & without Home Checks etc ? (Keeper said they had 'a plan' if He was not reunited by Monday !)Last edited: 2019-07-28 12:15:22 by #stoppettheft - 2019-07-28 10:13 Helen - Regional Co-ordinator - Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge
- I have requested to join the "Enjoy Cromer more" facebook group and have also pm'd the finder.

- I wonder if anyone reading this is on the 'enjoy Cromer more' FB group. Or is a DL volunteer / coordinator in Cromer. Would be good to make contact with the person who is looking after the found dog ( would appear to be a member of the public) to ensure he is aware that efforts are going on to try to locate Bennys owners. From the posts on FB it would seem family members anfd friends are lining up to Rehome the dog....

- thankyou Joan, yes, very similar aren't they ?.
i have emailed Admin - i hope they will read it first thing tomorrow . - 2019-07-27 21:09 Joan
- The found dog mentioned below does look as though it could be BENNY. Admin, are you able to contact owner urgently to get her to check? Perhaps someone could send her a screenshot of the found dog.....it sounds from posts below that she was losing hope of being reunited.
- 2019-07-27 20:36 #stoppettheft
- Could you plz Check this Found Dog ?.
Chipped as Benny but seemingly an error on the Contact No. as those who answered say No, they do not own a Dog.
Found under a Lorry in Aylmerton (village in Norfolk)

- Yes my garden is viewable to passer s maybe but not sure and sorry I didn't understand last bit of email
- 2018-09-18 17:51 Claret
- Is your garden visible to passers by? I wonder if he could have been stolen... cute puppies sometimes are, which is why it's crucial to make them too hot to handle via postering and social media.
- 2018-09-18 16:49 Kate Morgan
- Hi Alice no nothing on Benny yet hopefully we hear something soon I'm working on printing posters and things as we speak and that very true and he just disappeared was with all other dogs one minute next minute he was gone so we think he has wondered of ran and got lost because scared of something as only.puppy so easy to get scared of something .

- Hi Kate, is there any news yet on Benny? Have you managed to put up any posters in the area? Not everyone is on social media so may not be aware that he is missing or who to contact if they find him. What were the circumstances of his disappearance? Did you escape the garden or wander off? was he frightened by something?
- 2018-09-18 16:14 Kate Morgan

- Sorry to see that BENNY is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (134553)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
