- So sad that you have not yet been reunited with your lovely girl. Fingers crossed that she is found and is once again with her family. Lovely news that you have now adopted your lovely boy. May he have a long and happy life with you. xxx

28 Sep 2020 From Owner on FB GROUP Finding Tess in Scalpay
Group (Group is still up but no New Activity) - "Two years ago yesterday was the last time we saw Tess.
This page was originally set up to help in the search to find her but I’m afraid, to no avail.
Before we close the page down, I would like to draw a close this sad chapter in our lives with some happier news…
We have re-homed a Border Collie.
Introducing Mac! (Or sometimes called Maccy Moo!)
Mac is from Kyles Scalpay and ironically he also helped in the search for Tess, along with so many of the kind locals.
Unfortunately his sheep herding skills were no better than his dog searching skills! His owner was looking for a new home for him and, although we always expected to find Tess one day, we decided to give Mac new board and lodgings.
He is a constant reminder of Tess. He too, loves chasing balls, climbing mountains, chasing squirrels through the woods and swimming rivers & lakes.
It seems that Tess’s spirit does live on.
May I thank Shell for helping Ewan set up this page. A shame it did not achieve the outcome we were all hoping for, but all the help and support everyone gave us through the page was an enormous comfort which will never be forgotten. Thank you all.
We look forward to returning to Harris and Scalpay in 2022." https://www.facebook.com/groups/1121740574656283/posts/1711904912306510Last edited: 2021-10-01 03:28:50 by AnaGee - 2019-09-30 00:21 elli

- From the info it doesn't seem like the dog was contained it was just spotted but you may still want to take a look as it could be worth searching the area if it's a possibility that it could have been Tess ~ The details are on this link https://www.petsreunited.com/dunfermline/fife/found/dogs/found-black-whitedog/4zww33o0

- From Tess's owner.*****
We are devastated to say that we are leaving the Isle of Harris today without our Tess and are returning home. Although we will no longer be in Harris, our search for Tess still continues. She is a lovely, friendly dog who loves mountains and hills so is used to difficult terrain. She was last seen on the Isle of Scalpay on the Heritage coast walk on Thursday 27th September. There have 2 possible sightings of Tess in the village of Scalpay on Friday 28th, however there have been no sightings since then. If you have seen her or have any information please contact Ruth Hamilton 07906990440.
