- By the edge of a wood at the foot of the hill, Is a lush green meadow where time stands still, Where friends of a man and woman do run, when their time on earth is over and done, For here between this world and the next , Is a place where each beloved creature find's rest ! On this golden land they wait and play till Rainbow Bridge they cross over one day. No more do they suffer in pain or sadness for here they are whole, their lives filled with gladness!!!! Their limbs are restored their health renewed their bodies have healed strength imbuled !!!! They run through the grass without even a care, untill one day they Stop and sniff the air !!! All ears pricked forward, eyes dart side to side, Then all of a sudden one breaks from the pack ! For just that instant their eyes have met Together again person and pet, So they run to each other these friends from long past, The time of their parting is over at last !! The sadness they felt whilie they were apart has turned into Joy once more in each heart, They embrace with a love that will last forever and side by side they cross over together !! Can't think how she ended up way over there - maybe someone picked her up. Who knows. We just wanted to let you all know how grateful we are for all the help given to us by you dedicated people, you'll never know how much we have appreciated your help and support. - Hi I went and also tried to get some up in polling stations and had exactly same response as you Ramses. Only one that differed was in Idle nr Co-op who said they would take it and ask caretaker to put up when he got back. So, I just put posters up immediately outside the polling areas. Did Thackley, Idle Church Town Lane, polling station nr Co-op Idle, put up outside school Old Park Road. Then went to Greengates put up in Post Office and down to Apperley Bridge. Posted one through letterbox of Cafe on left after Dog and Gun pub then did around canal area Rillington Mead ,then went down and did some lampposts around the estate. Went up and did outside ST Lukes Church nr Vets 4 Pets and around Eccleshill "REc" -down Bolton Road and church/polling station there . Couple of side down Bolton Road and then looped back up Kings Road put more there. Claremont Fisheries put one up and he seemed very caring. Then just put a few more down Highfield Road.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Some other places for the owners to try regularly: Marina Kennels 01484426407. They are in Huddersfield and take in a lot of stray dogs, including ones from Bradford. Abbey House Vets 01274 876686, dogs found injured are often taken here for treatment. I would hope that both of these scan for microchips, but still worth a call in case she's slipped through unnoticed. X Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

- Hi. Have managed to get about 16 posters up in and around Wrose and Eccleshill (including Eccleshill Pool and shops around the council estate just there), and also one in Esholt. The people in most of the polling stations were not very helpful and said that because the buildings being used were not theirs, they couldn't say yes to posters going up. Managed get some up though. A lady in the Co-op in Wrose took some posters to show her dog walking friends. No one seems to have seen Domino, makes me think she is not in the area or has been taken in by someone. Fingers crossed for the T&A. Think we need to reach more people. Don't know if anyone is free this Saturday, but there is a car boot sale at St. Lukes Church on Harrogate Road, Eccleshill. It starts at 9am. Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Ramses, I will poster polling station on Wrose road before I go to work in morning, so thats one less for you to do. - Hi This afternoon postered lamp posts Windhill Old Road , Cote Farm Thackley put up in newsagents Thackley, off licence nr The George Pub then put one in Netto Greengates and Chemists next door but one. Stuck a couple on main road at Thackley but then started pouring down with rain so sellotape wouldnt stick on posts. So . then went to ~Eccleshill. Put in Spar , newsagents at top of Mount Street ,then little shop down The Bank Eccleshill. Lady in there was very helpful !! took a few posters off me as daughter is in police and looks out for missing dogs when out and about especially gypsy camps. She is going to text me with address of Leeds one. Seems a Springer Spaniel went missing from Eccleshill area and was found at this camp after a tip off. Not a place to go alone. They had 4 police officers to reclaim the dog. AFter that did some around Kings Rd as rain abated a bit then went down and put some around Horse & Farrier Pub and road off to right that leads down past a school to a dead end where there is a public bridleway. Then did a couple Westfield Lane and up Highfield Road. I then ran out of sellotape so called it a day about 7.30pm. I'm again working til 2pm tomorrow so will try and catch polling stations. I rang Pulse radio to see if they would put anything on about Domino but was told they don't DO APPEALS however they took the details as said they sometimes get people ringing in about dogs they found. I asked if I could at least send in a poster which the reply was yes, but it will probably only be circulated in the staff area. Anyway, I posted one in to them as at least its more people aware and they will have the pic of little Domino.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I think its a good idea to try and get on Pulse radio, I thought about Real radio as well. Quite a few work men listen to it and they tend to be out and about in vans! - Hi I've just got back but letting you know I went to Thornbury so have done the vets, Co-op , fish shop and couple of lamp posts there. Then came back did Co-op on Gain Lane put a few more up around Undercliffe towards Eccleshill. Put one up in Kents Leisure centre then stuck one on lamp post in middle of car park in front of Co-op Bolton Junction. Thought I'd put one there BUT I WAS ALSO BEATEN TO IT IN THERE LOL ! The girl asked me if it was my dog and I said NO I was just helping to poster - she said "Oh the other lady said it wasnt hers either - Do you get a reward for putting posters up "?? I think she thought we were some sort of bounty hunters. Obviously I put her in the picture that animal lovers just want to help each other out. So I doubled up and put another poster which owner had produced prior to the Dog lost poster which does actually show Dominos markings in a different perspective. I think maybe Wrose Road - Thackley/ Greengates area for shop and lamp post duties might the next area we could do ??? A colleague lives in Calverley so she will put some up there. I'll ring Pulse Radio tomorrow and see if they will put info out about Domino. Perhaps it could be a two pronged thing. ie promoting Dog Lost site but then giving out information on the local dogs who are missing. Your thoughts would be appreciated. I didn't have a huge amount of posters so concentrated on vets, food & drink shops and Post Offices. I am taking posters in Thornbury vets and the Co-op nearby tomorrow. - Hi. I presume the owners have been calling and visiting the dog warden regularly as well. From reading about this subject, lots of places seem to record stray dogs as completely the wrong breed (even common ones!) They only have to keep strays for 7 days. Some stray dogs found in West Yorkshire get taken to kennels which you can e mail with a description. The website is pupsandmutsdogrescue.co.uk. Not sure if strays from Bradford go here but worth a try. Places such as rescues and the dog warden should scan for microchips but it seems you can't rely on this either with some places ! - Just come back from having a look round, but no thing unfortunately. After reading about other dogs being found on the website, quite a lot seem to be due to publicity and people realising a neighbour has a new dog, or they have taken in what they think is a stray. I really think trying to get a piece in the paper would be useful, reaches a huge area then. Items like this in the paper usually have some kind of angle, like it's a child's or ill / elderly person's dog. Don't know if there is anything the owners could say ? I know that sounds a bit cynical, but seems to be how it is these days. I know the epupz lead may be a long shot, but got to be worth a look. Don't want to miss any chance of getting Domino back where she belongs. Maybe owners could pose as buyers? They would soon be able to prove she was theirs by her tattoo (may need someone else to go with them as well?). Please pass on to owners that we are thinking of them, can't imagine what they are gong through X Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
