Hello, i do not want to get your hopes up, there is a dog that looks an awful lot like 'buster' that lives up the road from me. The man got dog about 1yr ago maybe more. I am not to sure of the exact address but he lives in the new builds on Arnisdale road i think the street is called Arnisdale view/path. i have took your telephone number and will get correct address, once again i am not 100% sure but dogs are quite similar. This man lives corner of the street in a upper flat it is across the road from derelict houses directly across from lane which leads to a back court, i will definetly get address and contact you over the weekend. please dont get too excited this dogs seems quite young, maybe very young adult and quite boisterous!

Hi Busters mum - just seen this bumped up to top again - just like Chelsea.  I know how you feel.  You will see we have just had possible sighting after well over a year.  As yet we have not seen dog but you must never give up hope.  I hold onto the previous comment some dogs are returned after 3 - 4 years.  Lets hope ours are not that long and both are home very very soon.  We have have a GSD virtual party !!  x xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I am sorry Buster is "still out there somewhere". It is the most heartbreaking experience, I know.  I was reading the email from this person Coyle, as there was no reply, perhaps this person does not want to get involved. Have you been to the areas mentioned. I think you should and also poster +++++ Send posters also to all surrounding vets saying it is now one year.  Postering does work and dogs have returned home after 3-4 years. Never give up hope that your beautiful boy will come home...

Debbie   It was my daughter who saw this 'lost' dog around a week ago when it followed her along our road on the way home from school. However after she went into our house the dog went away and we have not seen it since, should we see it again we will certainly give you a call   It was a large Alsatian with lots of hair, mostly black, I would say.   ________________________________________________________   That was what S.coyle replyed back, not heard from him since. i started too think back and realised that Buster has been missing 10 months, its nothing big but may make a difference lol.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Debbie - Have you heard of 'Zoomback' - its a GPS system that you can attach to your dogs collar. I thinks its about ?100 per year or 9.99 per month and it would be ideal for your lad as he oviously takes after Houdini and you are probably struggling with his wonderlust.. Is he castrated, I know Doglady asked the question and there does not seem to be a reply. Stay safe young man, hope this time you are home its for good...Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have spoken to Buster's owner, Debbie today. She has him registered with the police, dog warden and kennels, as missing now. I have advised and ad in the local paper might bring a sighting of him, so that is planned now. Maybe the thought of his appointment at the vet on Friday to be neutered encouraged him to run away from home -LOL. Hurry home Buster. xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Have sent you a private message Debbie/Buster. Don't give up hope whatever you do. You must keep his profile out there if you want to get him back. He has no microchip or ID on him so it is imperative you get his face seen everywhere possible. Check out my post below for advice. Best wishes xxLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

OWNER< Print off lots of posters of Buster. Posters need to be put up in the area on lamposts, entrances to parks and strategic places in parks, vets, petshops, carry-out food shops, local shops, supermarkets, community centres, schools, ask postie, milkmen, binmen (even put poster on bins). Ask school bus drivers and kids on the bus. Deliver flyers to houses & pop through letterbox. Hand out flyers to people in the street, especially dog walkers. Put A4 poster in car windows. Rescue centres, and police offices need checking regularly and preferably visited in person, by owner or someone who knows the dog, because your dog or it's breed may not be recognised by other people. Also police are sometimes too busy to do much about it. Get some media coverage if you can, by asking the local radio station to broadcast the dog as missing and put an ad in the local newspaper with a picture of the dog. In the case where the dog may have been stolen, make the dog too hot for thieves to handle. Best wishes and good luck. x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
