- Update: owner of dog called ‘Bear’ came forward claiming this dog, living in an adjoining property.
Sighting of a dog in Winkfield Row posted on closed group Ascot People this morning shown to Max’s owner and another volunteer involved in search. We three agree this looks like him so will head to the area.Last edited: 2019-01-31 11:51:02 - 2019-01-11 18:23 Unknown
- We have replenished posters locally from the point of loss.

- I saw a dog down the Basingstoke road today - it was running fast but looked similar - still had a lead on and we stopped and tried to call/whistle to get it to stop and we turned car around and tried to find it again but sadly no luck. The dog was in the industrial estate near Morrisons.

- Max is still missing, no sightings. Original posters are largely no longer in situ or weather damaged as volunteers have been in the area for another dog this week. Friend of owner states she thinks postering continues elsewhere. We are still looking out for Max.

- Still not had any sightings or any news on Max and people are still looking out for him locally. We're still hopeful as there's been no bad news so he is out there somewhere.

- Hi dogmaad, thank you for letting us know - there have been no confirmed sightings, Max is still missing.

- Is there any news? At ashenbury now and lots of the posters have been taken down. I wondered if he had been found?

- Had a call - a retriever type dog with a tan collar running around alone at the park where we lost Max. I arrived at the park within about 15 minutes with my other dog but couldn't see any solo dog running around and no sign of Max.
Went back to the park at about 11.30 p.m for another look but no luck either - no sign anywhere of Max, no barking or whining etc. Spent a good 90 minutes up there searching around. - 2018-10-05 17:19 Mr Fox
- Thank you Salli. Another dog has been found in Gedling, similar to Max although the coat is a lot smoother. Worth a look into. If you pull up Gedling Borough Council you will see a photo of the dog.

- Thank you for looking out for Max Mr Fox, the dog in Yorkshire has been confirmed as not Max by his owner.
Still no sightings, we are in regular contact with owner and rescue. Posters have been placed and ground searches regularly taking place. He has been widely circulated on local social media also. Network Rail and Highways are informed and a missing marker placed on Max’s microchip as just some of the many actions already taken.
We urge anyone sighting Max to contact numbers on poster or DogLost direct and not call, pursue or attempt to secure him. Thank you. - 2018-10-05 14:14 Mr Fox

- Just checked with Max sibling adopters & both are safe & home. He wouldn't go with a stranger but may have been stolen & dumped/ escaped. Please share your photo. Thank you very much.

- I have contacted Network Rail given the proximity of the train track that runs between the park and the Golf course. This area does, however, have a college that is next to that part of the train track so I would expect it to be very well fenced.

- Sorry to see that MAX is missing.
- If your dog is microchipped please let the microchip company know that your dog is missing and check that all details are up to date.
- Owners targeted by a malicious hoaxer demanding money for the return of their dog should phone the police on 101 immediately and contact admin@doglost.co.uk
- A photograph of your dog is essential for the website. If you have not already uploaded one, please do so by clicking on Update details. Alternatively you can email it to admin@doglost.co.uk quoting the dog's DogLost ID number: (135176)
- Obtain a missing poster by clicking on View poster above. Posters are very important so start postering now!
- You will need to be logged in to upload photos, edit your dog's details, or add comments. You can add comments by clicking on Click here to add a comment.
- Contact dog wardens, vets and local rescue centres, and in Scotland, the Police. Give a detailed description with any distinguishing marks/scars or send them a copy of your DogLost poster. You can find vets in your area here.
- If your dog has been stolen inform the police immediately and obtain a crime reference number (CRN). Send an email to stolen@doglost.co.uk.
- If your dog is picked up and taken to rescue kennels, it can be legally re-homed after seven days. Visit rescue centres in person and do not rely on checking by phone alone. Other people may not recognise your dog by your description, so give them a DogLost poster.
- Keep us updated by keeping your dog's page up to date and check for posts from helpers who may have suggestions and possible matches or sightings
- DogLost is free and anyone asking for money to find or return your dog is not volunteering for us. If you are concerned about an approach you have received, please email admin@doglost.co.uk
