- CROSS POSTED UPDATE;
64 hours, no water, no food, harsh winds this chap survived unscathed and like nothing had even happened! His lead had been wrapped around a tree surrounded by dense bracken and ferns! This dog is an absolute champion, the hardest nut, the most determined hunter, just an absolute legend!!!!! Basically Grizzy had been on the best ‘stag’ of his life - 64 hours of squirrels and deer - his dream!!!!
Can’t even describe how long the last 64 hours have been, had pretty much given up all hope, my biggest fear after hearing a screech was he’d been attacked by the deer. My INCREDIBLE friends, family and new acaintances kept saying it will be ok, keep the faith - how right they were!!
7 hours sleep, over 3 nights, endless worry, heart ache, tears, barely any food, total and utter despair and then just this unbelievable result! Emotionally drained and over the moon at the same time! My boy is back!!!! Can’t even explain the utter incredible love support and generosity of spirit of over 2500 people from far and wide! You all know who you are!!! The search party today had people I’d never even met from Ruislip, Hampton, North London, Teddington, Richmond, Kingston, just unbelievable!! The Green family looked after me for 2 nights!! The Border terrier and dog community is the most incredible community and want to give you all the biggest of hugs and appreciation ππ€ππΎπΎπΎ!!! Totally overwhelmed! Love, heartfelt thanks and peace to all xxxxxx - 2018-10-14 12:58 Majorjet (Jan) - Area Co-ordinator - Liverpool/Merseyside, North West

- Absolutely thrilled for Katherine, family, friends and Grizzy and so glad I was there to witness the adorable Grizzy being found and that he is in the blue on this site! It was a truly amazing moment - well done Rachel and Jersey and it was really touching how many of the search party brought their Border Terriers to help too. They know their own and I am sure their presence and Katherine's calls prompted him to give two barks when he did. I just can't stop smiling! Stay safe now lovely Grizzy and no more Stag Nights for you ! xxx

- Are Jenny and Tiga able to help? He is likely to still be in the park as there are few exits and the wall is so high. could he have got into Isabella plantation?

- Hi Debby, thank you for info.
I could possibly go to work to print off, but can’t get over to Richmond this weekend.
If anyone can pick up from me in UB9 or HA4 area?? - 2018-10-12 18:24 Debby Cunliffe
- Karen, have just tagged you in the owner's post. In the past, the Royal Parks haven't allowed posters to be put up but I am pretty sure the coffee kiosks at Pembroke Lodge, Bloomfield Hill and Pen Ponds car parks will take some to give out. I can't get there in the morning is there anyone that can print off a load to give to them?

- Thank you for the update Julie - if owner needs me for any reason I'm on 07774 724 797
Good info on the lead still being attached, we weren't aware
Posters need to be put up outside the Park in streets, road junctions, around the Park too please if possible
Thank you - 2018-10-12 16:02 Julie Dogs
- Grizzy's owner has been searching extensively and today I spent two hours searching the bracken, hollows in trees etc. in the area he was last seen. They had climbed the steps on the hill opposite the Kingston Gate car park and he was running after deer across the expanse of grass at the top and then off to the left when his owner lost sight of him. He has a yellow retractable lead attached to his collar. His owner is making posters today to put up in the car parks and give to the Visitor Centre.

- more common to find squirrels near the oaks at Kingston Gate than deer which are further along usually - he may have chased a squirrel and got himself stuck - happened to a friend's JRT and park staff had to actually cut some of the lower tree trunk away to get at him - either way, hope he is found soon and not hurt

- Park Wardens all aware and looking when out and about.
Debby Cunliffe - please can you ask Owner again to ensure that she has Postered everywhere - we have had no confirmation that this has been done and is so important
- 2018-10-12 12:12 LisaP
- Extra alerts sent to helpers in KT5, KT6 as requested x
- 2018-10-12 11:30 Debby Cunliffe
- Might also be worth sending alerts to KT5 and KT6 too as both are close enough to Kingston Gate for helpers to regularly go there and/or be able to help in searching. Thanks

- On her post, Grizzy's owner is asking for anyone available to meet her at Kingston Gate tomorrow (Fri 12th) at 10 am to help with a search for him. Link to the post is https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=10104001366902429&id=197806869

- So sorry to hear Grizzy is missing. The deer are extremely dangerous at this time of year and as he had his lead attached, it's very likely it was snagged and he is trapped in the bracken or wooded area. I understand he went missing near Kingston Gate and his owner heard a yelp then nothing more, so he could still be in that area. It would be good if an organised search was carried out. I will go along and help if so. Meanwhile I am tweeting to local folk / park users as he will still be in the Park.
- 2018-10-11 15:30 Battersea
- I have made a report for Grizzy at Battersea and will contact owner if we have any news. Nothing yet sadly.

- Yes, I think that this is what owner has been doing - just waiting to talk to her.
He ran off chasing Deer I believe - 2018-10-11 14:27 skyninchar
- Perhaps a ground search team would help, was it a stag that he chased, especially if hes laying hurt somewhere
