Mischief was probably shut in somewhere re: her weight loss. Cats can survive for weeks without food. They will lick on relevant items to keep themselves hydrated. Even so she is very lucky. I am certain she will soon regain her normal weight. Sending her good wishes, and cuddles. She may be a little clingy now, and probably won`t stray far. I know microchips can slip. I know of one cat whose microchip fell out..

Mischief just came through the cat flap after 5 weeks away.

Owner posted - Lost 45% of body weight. Microchip slipped but vet says shes ok.
