Thanks Shirley. I don't think this is Taz as he has more white on his legs however the number above is no longer valid and Taz's owner have never notified us of their new number

This dog has just been put on Stray Aid. Worth having a look. He looks quite elderly by the look of his teeth but please take a look just to verify its Taz or not.

Thanks everyone. Owner has said she wants to see the found dog. The markings look different to me. There has been a lot of interest in him and someone has offered him a home which is great news. Will update when we find out more. Jan x

Blimey the found dog is a very close likeness to Taz. Tied to a tree is dreadful, poor soul. I do hope there is a happy outcome here. Taz is a real beauty.

Got an answer from the registered number on Taz's page, they had registered Taz on behalf of his owner, he is still missing, they are going to contact his owner and get them to check this boy out and also send us a photo of Taz. BUMPING Taz up so owner can find him on DL and check against found one ID 24124. Fingers crossed would be great if it was him. Jan x

Thanks to the DL helper who sent a message via Facebook and alerted us to Taz as a possible match for the found one in the Wirral Pound. I seen him last night on their site and posted him on a helpers FB page(who is helping in the search for Marley ID 20141). Have now registered the found one on DL ID 24124. Tried to contact owner of Taz for an update and check him against him but no answer. Will try again later. Jan x

I am unable to see the photo but there is a rough collie at our local DogsTrust - male aged 2. Have put a link in hopefully to the page where you can see him. It is in the southeast but DT take dogs from all over the country and often rehome in different areas. Not sure if this dog was a stray but worth a look. I can't make the link work but have a look at the rehoming pages for Canterbury centre and look at Alonzo.

We can only hope that if some helpers have distributed posters someone recognises him from being with a possible 'new family', or being sold on. The owner must be frantic, wish they had contacted dog lost sooner, but not sure they have internet access.

How beautiful he is and very distinctive whicvh is in his favour.. Just a thought I wonder if children might not be responsible here as they always fall over the 'lassie' type. He might be closer to his home than we imagine Hope he is found soon as this breed is sensitive and needs proper handling xx.
