Great news, the owners must be so relieved. Well done to the team in catching him.

Doogie is safe. Having spent 2 days tracking him we ascertained he was attempting to make his way home. With kind permission of his owners who are on holiday in Turkey myself and another member of the Greyhound Gap team stayed in their house over night. Night vision cameras were placed into the garden and a large cage trap. At 5.30am this morning he walked straight into it. Weve arranged to take him back to our kennels till the onwers come back from holiday Sunday to ensure he stays put.

Doogie will be in total survival mode now. The trap will probably be needed.

Shelties often lie low for a while then go back to the point they went missing from. Keep checking that original spot and even leave a toy out.

Stay safe Doogie, go back home now.

I have been out and postered and as its close to the kennels Greyhound Gap will remain on stand by to advise and assist carers. Thankfully they only live a few doors up from where the dog actually lives and he has made one attempt to get back home. Have advised a night in the car for them outside the house with the front door open and the living room lights and tv on to make it feel more like his owners may be at home and to shut the door if he heads in! Fingers crossed. If he is seen making his way around the house but to under confident to head indoors we do have a trap and the drive is big enough for trapping
