Excellent news - and they were all lucky to get a room at all let alone a dog-freindly one, with the big May race-meeting at Chester on! And clever old Patch, to get back to where he last saw his peepsLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I'm so glad I can get back on to thank everyone who we've spoken to with regards to Patch.... Matt, Charlotte and Patch are on their way home as we speak and I'm sure he'll be on the site as soon as possible to thank you himself. Thanks to all helpers everywhere... love and licks from Patch. xxx Mags (matts mum) xLast edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

FANTASTIC news got a call from Matt last night about 2200 hrs with the brilliant news that Patch was sitting by his feet..... over the moon for them. Patch had returned to the place where the Narrowboat had been moored and was picked up by the Police and taken to Hampton Vet Clinic. CHIP power working its magic. Matt is overwhelmed with all the help and support they have had in their search for Patch, they will be on later today with an update. A very big THANK YOU to everyone on DL and in the area who have helped in getting Patch back with his owners, especially before they needed to return home. Have the pleasure now of letting the vets know he has been found. Matt said he will send a reunited picture later, give Patch an extra big hug and cuddle from all on DL.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Just had a call from Matthew's mum - made my day!! She wanted me to post and say he was picked up by the police about 10 miles away - he had a slight injury to his nose I think so they took him to a local vets where thanxs to his microchip was traceable! Matthew, co & Patch all stayed in a B&B in Chester last night even though dogs were not allowed! The world can be a good place!!! Anyway, the full story will follow shortly either by Head Office or Matthew/his mum.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

Spoke to one of Patch's owners earlier and just. They have had no luck up to now and will be returning home later today. Once home they will have internet access, a relative has been accessing the site for them. I've contacted the street cleansing and there has been no reports of any dogs fitting Patch's description, they were very helpful and gave an email address to send a poster, also said would contact myself or owner if any news. Owner said Jayne has discussed scenting, I've asked him to leave something if possible with the helper in case we get any sightings as they will be back in Barnsley. They are in a library now looking at the site. Thanks to helpers in the area greatly appreciated, brilliant when there is someone local who knows the area. Jan x Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18

I have spoken to owners mum and she said he was last seen nr The Old Trooper pub along the canal - i have just spent couple of hours putting up posters along the canal from the Sainsburys roundabout end up to The Cheshire Cat. Poster also in christleton main newsagent and at popular car park in Waverton next to the canal. Poster also as far down canal as Hargrave. Good luck Matthew, I will keep searching.Last edited: 2010-05-11 02:17:18
